One of my favorite console games was the original Mercenaries, so I can't wait for the next-gen version.




Pandemic Studios today revealed it plans to bring Mercenaries 2: World in Flames not only to the PlayStation 3, but also Xbox 360, PC, and the PS2 this fall.

With Pandemic retaining the rights to the intellectual property and Electronic Arts signing on to publish the sequel to 2005's best-selling original IP of 2005, the powerful developer/publisher team looks to elbow in on this fall's already massive game line-up.

Pandemic Studios is in development with the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions, which Senior Producer Jonathan Zamkoff said will see "feature parity," meaning other than minor graphic differences, each game will retain the exact content. That means each will offer two-player cooperative online gameplay, more than three playable characters to pick from, and enable gamers to experience the high-def graphics from the newly selected Venezuelan backdrop.

I think they modeled one of the characters after the Techno Viking.

 

Never played the first one....

The first one was great, I cant wait!

 

Yes it's like a war version of GTA. Great game can't wait for part 2.
