MacBook Help?

Hmn, I don't know if this would be the right forum to ask for help but at the same time it seemed to have "fitted" in the best.

Anyway, so I got a "new" old MacBook for $450. It came pre-running with Bootcamp. It has bluetooth, wireless something, 1G ram and yadda yadda.

So, I'm pretty oblivious on how to properly use this....
Here is what I'm having issues with:

1. On Leopard my trackpad works perfectly fine however on XP my trackpad loses the 'tap to click' feature.
2. On Leopard I have no clue how to connect to a wireless network...
On XP the wireless network is connected but it keeps trying to "validate identity"---but I'm still connected to the network.
3. On Leopard I am unable to switch to XP however on XP I can switch to Leopard easily.

I've used a Mac at school before and it seemed to connected fine to the internet... Don't know why I am having issues.
Am I supposed to be attempting to access the internet via "airport"?
In "airport" it detects my network... It prompts for the password but does not connect to it. =t

But so far.. pretty neat laptop. Very strong specs. Also weird to find that sometimes when I click enter on a file in Leopard it does not execute the file but rather lets me rename it.

1. Stop using Windows.
2. Use the airport icon in the menu bar. You may have to go into network preferences and make sure the settings in there reflect the needs for you connection such as DHCP settings etc.
3. Stop using Windows

Suggestions: Double your ram it really livens it up for a reasonable price.

Command + left/right arrow for home/end
Option + left/right arrow to move the cursor one word at a time

AFAIK, the OS selection from Bootcamp should be the same regardless of which "direction" you're coming from. Hold down the option key after you hear the computer's startup chime.

I need to be using Windows to use the internet on this macbook =t
I did not notice an airport icon in the menu bar so I used the finder. It keeps automatically detecting something ... which never finds anything. Can't click anything in the window. In the Network Connections window... there is nothing there. I'm pretty clueless. hahah. It seems to connect for a brief moment when I was running the connection diagnostic thing in Safari.

I was thinking about upgrading the ram, I wasn't sure of which it was though. Is it DDR2? I believe the newest Macs have DDR3.

Hahah.. yeah I noticed the second functions on the arrow afterwards... went back to edit the post but I guess you guys saw that before I finished editing.

What I meant was that... While in Windows there is a 'boot camp' program running in the task bar. When I click it, it allows me to restart and bring me straight to Leopard. Yet, I don't think there is a thing like that while in Leopard.
But yeah, the holding option key does work when the system is booting up. Thanks

go to system preferences and turn on airport.

Apple logo>system preferences>Network

and adjust your settings as needed in there. Check the box that says Show Airport status in Menu Bar.

Make sure Airport is on, then select the network from the drop down menu.

Awesome. That's a lot of help!~
The AirPort icon has gone from grey to black, but I cannot access the internet. It actually even says "Not Connected"
When I am in the Networks window under airport it states:
"AirPort does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the Internet."
