I kind of searched and not having the time to read reams of threads thought I'd ask: does the Mac or PS5 platform offer a better video gaming experience especially involving racing games? My old 27" desk top Mac can't take any F1 games beyond 2017, thanks in advance!

I've never really used my Mac for games. Were you playing games natively or booting into Windows for that? M1 macs don't do Windows well.
I'd go for the PS5.

 

Well after looking at costs I can get a hot set up with PS5, Logitech wheel and Sony gaming monitor for less than the cost of a Mac/monitor. I don't need another computer so thinking game console is the way forward.

Now as far as console or PC, that really comes down to what you want, realistic sims, full vr support, and track mods, but willing tinker with settings go PC, other wise PS-5 or X-box.
