Buying a PS3, and I think I oughta get a good HDMI cable. Anyone recommend any good brands? Also, I heard the shorter cables are better for some reason. Maybe they're just saying that since they're like $30 cheaper... ugh a $85 cable..

Anyways, if any of you have your 360 or PS3 hooked up with an HDMI cable, couldja let me know what you use?

By the way from what I heard, in America, a good HDMI cable is like $60-90 whereas in Europe they typically go for like half that. Is that true?

 

When it comes to HDMI cables, price does not equal quality. Most will recommend monoprice.com and amazon.com, both reasonably priced sites with good quality HDMI cables

don't buy monster cables unless you are into burning money.

yea, there are MANY threads on HDMI cables. try searching in home theater subforum too.

but +1 for monoprice if you're looking for short cables. don't even bother paying $30.

i got 2 6ft cables from monoprice for under $5 each.

Oh and monoprice.com all the way. I've purchased all of my HDMI, DVI->HDMI, and digital audio cables from there. Great stuff, nice and cheap.
