I went with the bundle they sell at Costco. It came with 2 HDMI's, 1 optical (audio), 1 component, and a couple other things for $99.99

Out of curiousity did you get the cheapest 15ft cable monoprice offered or the most expensive one there?

I got the one with the netjacket.

I haven't switched out the cable yet, so right now I'm living with it. I might use the one I'm using on my cable box to see if that makes a difference (although that cable is monoprice too). Heck, I have to go to Costco anyways, I'll try that cable and if it doesn't work I can always return it.
Monoprice.com for all of your cable needs.
As for post #3... sounds like an issue with the sync between the TV and PS3. That same exact thing happens when my cable box is sending a 1080i signal to my TV which is natively progressive. Once I changed the cable box to send progressive signals only... no problems.

You can get decent quality HDMI cables from cables-to-go on Amazon - I've got one between my BluRay player and my receiver that works great and was $10.

Do you need 120Hz cables if you have a 120Hz tv?
i just ordered 2 6ft HDMI cables from monoprice.com
i guess it's hit or miss here? the people at avs seem to bet their lives on it.
the cables were only about $4 each since i bought two. we'll see.

Your mileage may vary - good luck with them.
^^^
I used think they were all the same, but when I picked up some cheap ones from Cox Cable customer service center, the screen would go blank after 15-30 minutes, it was a brand new 1080p Samsung LCD and I was freaking out cuz it was my first time buying something so expensive online... called up Samsung and they told me to buy better HDMI cable... which I did, problem solved

Nobody answered my question...

Do I need 120hz cables if my tv is 120hz? On the monoprice website, it says:
Question: I was told only certain brands or types of HDMI cables with work with 120hz televisions. Is this true?
Answer: The idea that you need a cable that specifically has that bandwidth to support the 120hz feature is a fallacy used to sell overpriced cables.
Fact is, source devices play media that is recorded at 24fps, the frame rate of film. The NTSC standard which television is base on, on the other hand, is about 30hz (actually 29.97 fps). Progressive scan double the refresh rate to 60hz by drawing a complete frame with each pass rather than requiring two passes per frame. To get the films 24fps to match the NTSC''s 60 hz progessive refresh rate, devices uses a process called "3:2 pull-down." Every other frame is flashed 3 times and the other frames are flashed only twice. However this leads to a slight motion jitter due to the uneven exposure of the frames.
With a 120hz display, the TV takes the 60hz signal and doubles it to 120hz. The benefit of doubling the refresh rate is that the original 24fps goes into 120 evenly by 5. Meaning each frame is flashed 5 times per second. This leads to smoother motion in the video image.
So the signal passing through the cable is only 60hz. There are currently no source devices that send out a 120hz signal so there is no extra load on the cables bandwidth.

You don't need any 'special' cables for 120hz TV. As I have a Samsung Auto motion (120hz) Television and am running monoprice HDMI cables.
What is your question about PS3 games?

120Hz TVs simply refresh the image more often; there isn't more data being passed over the HDMI cable to the television, so there's no additional bandwidth needed that would require a special cable over a 60Hz refresh TV.
What's important is that for 1080p you get an HDMI 1.3a cable.
I've got a PS3 cable between my receiver and TV and it does 1080p just fine.
I, personally, feel that this is a difference... I'm not saying that you need to run out and buy the most expensive brand... but like I've said over and over again... with my experience (and at least a couple others) the cheaper HDMI cables didn't work with my 1080p TV. Problem was solved when I stepped up and bought something better. I think it's like gas... you can get premium gas at the mom and pop's gas station and you can get premium at Mobil or Chevron... most people won't be able to tell the difference, some can...

mine are fine... as before 6 and 12 feet, no problems due to them though im using 1080i not p... im using a radioshack dvi to hdmi as well... it works
