So are we going to win a few rounds tonight? My rank dropped down from an 11 to an 8. Thankfully I just barely got it back up to a 9. Let's hope the matchmaking actually does its job properly today. I hate getting raped by guys in the high-teens. I feel like a useless turd if I'm not back up to a normal, more respectable rank.

 

yea my friend who knows nothing about hlo 2 at all, was playing team slayer under my name,and brought my 18 down to a 16, just finished bringing it back up today

 

Kurt's daily Halo rant:

1. Plasma Pistols should have been eliminated at the time of the update. Tools that use them in combinations are weak. Super weak. It should take away from your ranking if you do this.

2. Battle Rifles have achieved an all-time high in default weapon setups. They made it too effective additionally. SMGs and shotguns are always fun to start with.

3. Pairings now suck in matchmaking. Why, oh why, did they feel it entirely necessary to reset the rankings in addition. Example: In Team Slayer: If I'm a 12, one teammate is a 8, another is a 5, and the last is a 10 why are we getting matched up against guys that are 18, 16, 21, and 22? I thought we were supposed to get paired up with guys that are similarly ranked in this same division of matchmaking. (I realize that your overall ranking doesn't matter in this)

Side note: I literally had 2 guys that we beat tonight in Double Team (slayer) on Warlock tell me that I am GOD with plasma grenades. Funny shit.

halo 2 rant

matchmaking is pathetically gay, i worked my way up to a level 22 a few nights ago with a few friends, so then i figured i get some good games in today and last night to get up to a 23/24, but i get teamed up with the biggest fucking losers time after time, i constantly had 20+ kills while my teamates struggled to get anywhere near 10, now im a level 20.. oh and people have been doing boosting like crazy, boosting is when 2 or more players manage to get on each team and then "fix" the game so that we lose, basically one guy has killed the same guy on my team about 25 teams and the guy he kills manages to have a score of like -2 before he is booted, matchmaking is teh ghey

 

I hear you man.....but sometimes you win on someone elses skills and sometimes you lose because of crappy ass players

not really im always at the top of my team, and now im an 18 whatever, i dont care about my level anymore i figured out that matchmaking is complete bullshit and so are levels, i get people that are level 24s and 25s on my team that are worse than i am, matchmaking seems to have a better effect on double team tho, no complaints there

 

 

we gotta get some more big team battle going, havent played that in a while

 

Myself, SSM, Aces, and DDT went on a spree tonight. We won 10 consecutive matches in Team Slayer (and then lost 50-48 on Warlock). We worked quite well together.

Team Slayer rankings before/after are now as follows:

DDT TypeS: 3/12

played halo 2 for the first time ever/online this past weekend god i sucked, i killed 3 people with the guns, but then we played with sword, fuckers were killing me before i even saw them.

 

We all have to be noobs at one time or another.

 

Man Ive been playing Halo now for a couple years. Ive always considered myself to be above average. I just cant believe how good some of these kids are. Its almost not fun when you start playing guys level 20 or higher. The highest kid in Rumble Pit is a level 45 and it only took him 179 games to get there with 111 of those winning. Thats amazing!! I mean he must play this game non-stop. Maybe some people are just born with it. Got me, just had to get that off my chest!!

Something tells me that I'm destined to be stuck at 18. I have my big team up to 16 and double team at 14...I'll win a couple in Team Slayer, but then lose one. It takes forever to get rank jumps once you get it up higher.
