If I'm not mistaken, the oldest navigation system that was available in Japan was from Toyota Crown Royal Saloon with Electro Multi-Vision system. The car was produced from 1989~91. That's 16 years ago...quite amazing.

Nevermind, I just found out that Honda was the first company to build a world's first Navigation system back in 1981. It was called Honda Electro Gyro-locator. That was before GPS was available to the US Gov't....I THINK. The Navi was equipped aboard Honda Accord. It was only in available in Japan. AMAZING!!! Honda is COOL!!!!
