GT3 Transfer to GT4

Hey guys, when played GT4 for the first time, it asked me if I wanted to transfer my cars and money from GT3. I selected no because at the time, I couldn't find my stupid memory card with the saved game. Now I've found it and want to transfer the files. Does anyone know if it's possible after the fact??? Thanks in advance.

...I wasn't 100% sure so I hadn't answered this yet. I believe if you go to the Home screen, at the bottom of the screen you'll see an icon that says SELECT = TRANSFER DATA or something. Hit Select button and it should prompt you to transfer data from GT3... but I am not 100% sure on this because I did it a while ago and I don't have the game in front of me. More information as it becomes available.

Yea, but it only transfers 100,000 credits and A and B licenses. No cars.

yeah no cars... If anyone wants to just buy GT4 and get tons of money and be able to buy all the cars everywhere without having to do anything in the game, get a Gameshark or other similar device.

no, you 'only' get 100,000 Cr... btw 100,000 is more than enough to get started in the game. Gone are the days of GT1 and GT2 where you would start off with like a bone-stock Miata and have to race that same Miata for like 5 hours just to get an exhaust and some better tires.

I actually prefer it that way. I kinda like struggling for the first few days, trying to scrap together some money to buy some mods, then finally winning a few races, then moving up etc...

Even now in GT4, I kinda feel bad using the special events course number 2 to get the rally car and selling it for 265,000 or winning the Japan Championship over and over and selling the 350Z LM. I'd rather struggle a little bit. Makes the money seem more valuable.

ok, with the help of srika, i figured it out... you have to go to the home screen, then the status screen. Hit the start button and it will start the transfers. note: you can only do this once. tks for the help srika!
