Just spent a lil while playing the demo. I have to say, I'm impressed.

It's way way better then the first GRAW (which may or may not be saying alot, I think GRAW sucked almost as bad as Ghost Recon 2).

Nonetheless, this version is tight. I'm looking forward to the multiplayer demo.

 

GRAW 2? I didnt even know it was comming out. It's on Xbox Live now? Demo?

How do you comapare it with Rainbow 6 Vegas?

 

GRAW was fun to play coop with unlimited enemy spawn rate and see how long you could last. I remember getting 275 kills one time.

 

It's alot more realistic than Rainbow 6. Other then both being mil-sim's, they're fairly different. I think each will have their place.

The demo is on XBL now, single player only. Multiplayer demo out soon.

The game comes out in March.

I'll be completely bored with RB6 by then so this will be a welcome distraction in the FPS genre.

I played it, it was fun, but i don't like the cover system or the way you command your guys. It's cool, but it won't take over R6:V in my 360 until I get thoroughly bored with it.

Demos are free, but there is some paid content (movies, expansion packs, games, etc...).

GRAW2 with the airstrike and new guns looks pretty sweet...i was pissed where they ended the demo...just as it was getting exciting haha

Hey guys, I got the demo last Friday I think. Played it for about 2 hours on Sunday. Let me tell you...AWSOME!!! Graphics are great and game play also.

The only think I dont like, well I think it will take some getting used to is the movement.
Faster than RS6. Specially the crosshair (even more when zoomed in for my snipe kill).

I like the fact that if you hold the RB you make the little screen on the left hand side where you are seeing what your team mates are seeing FULL SCREEN. There is also a way point (red triangle) you can position on the map to alert team mates where you spot an enemy. ( i think they had this on frist GRAW, not sure dont remember).

One other thing I noticed on multiplayer is that when someone kills an enemy, and the enemy is not completely dead and a team mate can go revive him, and another team mate kills him when he is struggling on the ground waiting for help, the other team mate gets the kill. So make sure you KILL HIM!!!! lol..

But I meant: Kill your enemies. If they are left on ground struggling to stay alive, and one of YOUR OWN team mates shots him, THEY GET THE KILL not you.

 

So did anyone get this game today? I went to GameStop, and they only got the reserved ones. (stupid in my opinion. Should get reserves plus 20 more, they know there will be walk-ins). 59.95 (also dont price match)

Circuit City has it for 10.00 bucks less. 49.95. I went by, and have not put in shelves yet, and system didnt show any in stock. Website says Weds.. so who knows.

 

I haven't bought a new game since I originally purchased the system.

Just picked it up. Looks and plays great so far. I'm more of a fan of the Rainbow Six series, but I enjoy the GRAW series as well. Overall, a very good game from what I have played

 

That's a good question. Typically, BB and CC match prices against each other. Matching against Fry's is like matching against Costco.

It's definitely worth a try if you bring in the ad.

 

GRAW 2 will check you hard drive for saves from those two other Tom Clancy titles and will unlock multiplayer headgear for you.

Here's how it works:

GRAW2 and NO saved games of Rainbow Six Vegas and Splinter Cell Double Agent: there will be 4 slots of multiplayer headgear that are locked.
GRAW2 and R6V saves: 2 sets of headgear mimicking R6V will become unlockable in MP.
GRAW2 and SCDA saves: 2 sets of headgear mimicking SCDA will become unlockable in MP.
GRAW2, R6V and SCDA saves: they will have 4 extra headgear unlocked.

The bottom line is that Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 eclipses the first game in every way, and let's not forget that we are talking about a game that is considered by most to be among the finest tactical shooters ever made. So, again, here I am with the sequel to a game that earned five stars, and yet the sequel is even better than that first, arguably perfect experience. I guess I can only hope that you'll understand how far we've come in the last year (where "next gen" has become "current gen"), and realize that in the new context of great games that are available today Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 towers over its closest competitors. Enough words... if you like tactical shooters, just do yourself a favor and buy the game.

the Costco by my house have it@ $53.99

 

Nearest Fry's is 30 miles away. So I drove 5 minutes to Circuit City and they matched Fry's with no issue. But the ad expires today, so if you want it today at that price try BB or CC ASAP
