Goddamn, Microsoft Sucks!!
As you may alreay know, I have been without my XBOX for over the past month. I FINALLY get it back today (a replacment since they couldn't fix my other one). As as soon as I turn it on......Red ring of death! I turn it back off and on again and this time it comes on, but I can't do anything because the connect button on the console does not work and I can't connect my controllers!
I called Microsoft Customer support, was on hold for 45 minutes, and when someone FINALLY answered the phone I spent another half hour going through things with him that I've already tried. I then was transferred to the manager and he of course apologized and then offered to give me a free copy of Viva Pinata with this 2nd repair. I asked could I get my money back or at least get a credit to put towards an elite, and he said no. And all he could do is give me that free copy of Viva Pinata. Gee Thanks!
So now I have to wait a week to get my 2nd coffin, another 3 days for them to receive it and another 4 - 6 weeks to get back my 3rd console (probably another refurb). This is ridiculous, great customer support over there at Microsoft.
I'm taking my unopened copy of APF2K8 back tommorow and cancelling my reservation for PGR4 and Halo 3, since there is no telling when I'll get it back this time.
I have no interest in a PS3 or Wii, and I'm not sure if I really want to stick with Microsoft after this. But if I do get another console after this debacle, I'm buying a replacement plan through the store from now on, instead of dealing with the god damn pain in the ass manufacturer! At least if the console dies, I'll be able to get a new one the same day and not have to wait another 4 - 6 weeks for another piece of shit refurb!! :angryfire

After going thru all of that hassle you still want to buy their system??? Yea the games are there, but suggest you get a ps3 and yea I know you do not want one but at least there are good games coming out for it in the near future, plus no red ring of death! Plus the ps3 should hold you off until microsoft put a cooler unit out that is less prone to the rings of death. Or you can always deal with the hassle of what you are going thru with again and again...
