Exactly what I'm saying, investing in real property is much smarter than investing in virtual shit. The ebay comparison is way off. You actually get something when you buy something on ebay. What happens if nobody goes to your island.

If he is somehow able to make money on this, more power to him, but it says a lot about our society that people are willing to waste significant money on this type of entertainment.

hah, i am proven right.

took him what, 11months to earn back his ENTIRE investment. And now he's got a revenue generating property for the life of the game.

The space station project with Dinosaur Hunting tours sounds hype as heck to me!

He didn't sell it. He's making money off the property. It took him 11 months to make $26,500 off it. That's just about $2400/mo in profit... and I'm sure it's growing.

I was looking up the game. I wonder why is this not more popular than the Sims? Sounds way more interesting.

Man I want to get more into this...are there world leaders? Can there ever be wars? That would be sweet.

Anyone here play?

its worth what ppl are willing to pay for it. like any other fad -- baseball cards, pokemon cards, random crap thats in demand at the time, nowadays for some its virtual rpg items. Its all great until no one plays the game anymore and you've wasted all that money ( and time) on it

I tried playing the game when it first came out.. because it was free THE MOST RETARDED MMORPG GAME. Takes a lot of patience.
