Anyone played it yet?

I finally got it, and went online with it yesterday. Some very humbling scorelines later, I managed to get a couple wins.

Gameplay has improved a lot, and things are definitely more realistic. They've gone and made United the equivalent of Barca (for those who played 08 online) this time around, so everyone on that team is a football god.

I haven't had the chance to try out some of the nicer multiplayer features like the online clubs, and leagues, and the adidas live season thing yet, but overall, the game seems to be a huge improvement over '08.

Much better than PES2009 IMO!

Much easier than FIFA08 though (same difficulty setting). I'm at semi-pro (middle one?) and can still score a ton of goals with Drogba.

 

You play mostly single-player? I tend to just play with friends or online, which arguably takes away a lot of the game experience, with the Manager mode, be-a-pro and all.

 

I'm winning eleven person. So, I'd vote for PES over Fifa.

 

I got this game for Christmas and it is amazing...

Graphics are great and the controlability of the characters is impressive. You just have so many different options as to how to let the play develop...

 

I also got this game for X-mas for PS3...I've only played it once so far and the gameplay is definitely better than '08.

i still haven't gotten this game yet, uzzmaan.

i'm planning on getting it soon since i got a $50 gift card for best buy.

 

I think the game just dropped in price too to like $35

 

 

Has anyone else seen this? I've checked BB, EB, and walmart. they're all $50

I guess it was only over the holidays that all the ea sports games dropped down to that price...sorry about that

 

I want to take your word for it, but at $55 I wish I could rent it first. I've called 3 Blockbusters, and none of them carry it. I really want to see this thing on my new tv before I buy it.

 

finally picked up the game last weekend but have been too busy to install it.

the gf's going to a birthday party tonight, and since i'm not going, you know what i'll be doing.

Very nice...as long as its not laggy.

I wish you could see the ranking and the win loss tie total of the player you are playing before the game

 

The online lobby system was a lot better executed for FIFA 08. This one is not as user-friendly, and doesn't give you all the information you need quickly before sending an invite

 

opened it and installed it over the weekend.

while i was installing it, i also upgraded to 2.53, which i was fearful of. luckily, i've had no problems since with the update.

as for the game, it's lots of fun.

i've been playing against the computer as i'm trying to get used to it, and it's pretty difficult.

i'm playing on world class level, and even if i play as manutd or barcelona, it's hard to keep possession and shoot.

i bought euro2008 for ps3, and this game definitely improved on that one, and they made it tougher. through balls and passing is much more difficult now too.

 

Fifa has improved a lot and has a much better presentation than PES2009. I own both but I still prefer PES as do pretty much all of my friends when it's time to play some footie.

 

one aspect I am still getting used to is switching the players. It seems more intuitive in a game like NHL08. Sure it has less players, but it goes to the guy nears the puck each time.

Sometimes in Fifa it seems like it doesn't consistently switch to the player closest to the ball you want. For example if you have two defensive players around a offensive player it might select the defensive player who is on the outside rather than the one who is on the inside and can cut the angle down more effectively...

I dunno, that's my only minor gripe, but I am getting used to it...
