Favorite PC driving games?
Hey Everyone,
I am in a driving mood for some reason. I have a Driving force Pro attached to my PC, and I'm looking for some fun games. Good force feedback a plus!
I would like something that isn't too arcady, but not 'tweak your car every race/lap' difficult. I have tried some random stuff, and I actually like Need for speed: Porsche Unleashed the most. I haven't tried too many games, though.
I have GTR2 and GTL, but I find them........ intimidating. I'd like something in the middle, maybe?
But anyway, It'd be nice to have a thread of what driving games you like the most! You can throw Console games in here, what the heck.
I really wish my DFP worked with the xbox 360.

Your driving force pro can work with ps2 and ps3 =)
but no xbox.
So far ive tried was grid and need for speed undercover.
check out the old need for speeds.
oh bytheway grid support for the wheel kind of sucks... till you set it. i'm still having trouble setting it for the ps3...

Yeah, it's a full-fledged sim so the intimidation factor can be high. There's a boatload of setups out there for download though so you don't have to be an engineer to enjoy just driving. I've hardly done any setup development work at all the entire time I've had the game and I enjoy the living hell out of driving the various mods.
Go here and poke around if you want to see what's available.

Need for Speed: High Stakes - I played this non stop when I was young
GRID - Played for about 2-3 months, very realistic driving game, even something so simple as messing up a turn get get you from 1st to last place. Cars handle realistically and most important, the crashes are REALLY realistic, they let you replay, rewind and save your fav. crashes.

I gotta hook up my wheel again and start playing. I stopped when we bought a nice new desk with a glass top - wheel had to be put away.
