I played WoW for 1.5 years and found that the game in general became very boring. I was in the 58th ranked Horde Guild on Naxx. progression. The game become more of a job then fun. I attempted to play FFXI but couldn't get into it, then I played EQ2 and felt that it blows WoW out of the water. The graphics are amazing and there are so many different classes and races to choose from. The game plays better then WoW in my opinion. I'm curious other opinions please post them. Thanks.

 

how long have you been playing EQ2, until you've played it as much as wow then i'll decide on playing EQ2

 

I'm not trying to get anyone to play EQ2, I'm wanting people's opinion on EQ2 because I don't want to waste my time on a horrible end-game experience.
I personally just started EQ2 a couple weeks ago, but what I have played is quite entertaining more so then WoW ever was. That is my own opinion though which I have stated earlier.

 

well, Everquest was Evercrack before WoW was even a thought in the developers mind.

it wouldn't surprise me at all if EQ2 was superior.

I've been playing EQ2 since launch two years ago. Still play it and still like it. The latest release is just awsome. Plus the people in EQ2 are more mature in general. I think this is because of the style of EQ2 having the puzzles and adventures then more who can kill that other player.

I've tried WoW, SWG, AoC, CoH... never could get in to those games, but I did play FFXI for a year, but it started to become very very tedious at high levels.

I played EQ1 for over 5 years. Started a few months after it launch.

IMO, I think EQ2 is the best "Adventure" MMO out there today. If you want PvP or like 1st person shooter and competition you may like WoW more even though EQ2 has PVP it's not quite the same.

It's really funny is seeing a few posts in forums about the latest expansion and how some people are saying they took that from WoW. Those people get stomped real fast because what really happen is WoW took it from EQ1. LOL

 

I played the EQ2 demo and thats as far as I got. I got into WOW and still play it religiously. I think the reason I like WOW is because I was a Diablo 2 freak. There is a lot of similarities between the two. I have my complaints about WOW, but dont have the will power to get involved in yet another addicting game.
