DELL XPS GEN 5 and DUAL Core

Alright I finally got my Dell XPS after three weeks. The only reason I got it was because I got a really good deal. Basically I only paid 1900 for a 3499 system. Including 19in Digital Flat Panel and 4 Year Accidental plan warranty and plus some other goodies. It was a manager special.

Either way, I have read reviews about this computer and heard both good and okay, nothing really bad. Anyone have any comments about this product? Good or Bad. Did I make an OKay choice?.

Also many of the new computers that come with Dual Core Processors have Liquid Cooling system such as SONY VAIO. Why doesn't Dell use liquid cooling? Is this a good thing to have. Instead they soldered off the copper tubes and placed dual fans.

Any comments and help would be appreciated.

p.s. I am not a gamer, i bought it for video editing.

Dumb question, with dual core and hyperthreading, does the OS see the CPU as four processors? Just curious.

check it yourself...bring up the task manager and click on the performance Tab...if you see 4 graphs in the CPU Usage History section, then its simulating 4 processors...with just HT enabled you would see just 2 graphs

Dual core is not the same as dual CPUs.
