the best tennis game is coming for PS2
Top Spin. What was once a sanctuary of Xbox (and gave us hours and hours of MP enjoyment thereof - I mean just ridiculous fun) - is on its way to PS2. You may have seen this segment in one of the E3 videos. Among the additions are Federer, Sharapova, and Williams. The video also talked about Top Spin 2 for Xbox 360, which - as long as they don't mess with the general playability and fun factor of the original - seems like it should have no trouble being the best tennis game ever made. Hopefully that will make its way to PS3 as well.

Previously exclusive Xbox tennis game moves to Sony's console courtesy of 2K Sports.
For PlayStation 2 gamers, the phrase "Tennis, anyone?" was a burr in their pom-pom-adorned socks. The two best tennis games available, Mario Power Tennis and Top Spin, were exclusive titles for the GameCube and Xbox, respectively.
Then, Take-Two Interactive purchased Microsoft's studio in Salt Lake City, Utah, now named Indie Built, and designated it as part of its 2K Sports brand. The developer was responsible for the Amped and Links franchises and oversaw development of Top Spin, which was worked on by Power and Magic Developments, a developer based in Paris.
While Amped still appears to be on the chairlift and Links has yet to step up to the tee box, 2K Sports has announced that Top Spin will be serving some heat on the PS2 this summer. The game has not yet been rated or priced.
Top Spin brings 16 of the top professional tennis players to the court in singles and doubles competition. The PS2 version includes Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, Roger Federer, and more. There's no word on whether "tennis player" Anna Kournikova will return in the PS2 edition. Top Spin has a create-a-player career mode and will be the only online PS2 tennis game.

Top Spin is fun... well the gameplay anyway. Career mode is pretty weak.
But I'm not buying any more PS2 or XBOX games. Rather just wait till XBOX 360 and ps3 come out.

I've quit buying games as well until this fall when I can get the X360 and next year with the PS3

I was actually thinking about selling my xbox, ps2, and all my games this week. I never play, and they won't be worth jack once it comes close to the new systems release dates.

I didn't have a lot of seat time with that... I remember trying it once and thought it wasn't as good as Virtua Tennis, in the playability department.

But, then again, you think the PS3 is the ultimate machine too...
