Audiosurf

I don't frequent this subforum much since I'm not a gamer (I enjoy watching others play game rather than play), but I figured it'd get moved if I tried to post it in Ramblings.

I just heard of this program called Audiosurf that is like Guitar Hero (from what I can tell as a non-gamer), but creates "levels" from your own music. I'm pretty impressed by the analysis of the music into a game environment. Seems some songs are hit or miss if they don't have a lot of dynamics or noticeable section changes.

When I watch these videos, it makes me think of well-written games where the game soundtrack is perfect for the game, and so it would be with Audiosurf since the game is the soundtrack.

Here's a couple I found pretty enjoyable and accurate. You can search Youtube for Audiosurf and see a ton of game videos.

I have this too. it's not bad. one big problem I have is that if you want to try to perfect a score on a certain track, you gotta listen to it over and over lol

I think this video shows how the game really is. IMHO this song matches this game perfectly haha.
