Ok, so I went to buy a PS3 last night. The only one you can find is the 40gb model, which doesn't play the PS2 games. The 20,60, and now 80 have all been stopped. I mean, what the hell. I'm not going to buy a dumbed down 40gb version, especially when I have so many PS2 games. If it stays this way, Sony is making a big mistake.

I would imagine it would be the same as the 80

this is just my 2cents, I had about 30 PS2 games. I figured I'd play them alot on my PS3. In one year...i haven't played ONE, simply because the graphics absolutely BLOW.
I don't play any of my original Xbox games, and my PS2 and PS2 games pretty much collect dust. If you REALLY wanted to play your old games, you would buy a PS2, or you never would have sold it in the first place.

I dunno about you guys but I will still play my old skool games. Like I have rival school and pocket fighter from the ps1 and I still play them on my ps2. For me I would like to have backward compatible with my ps3.

before COD4 came out.... I was getting desparately bored... so one day, I was just walking through Game Stop, and decided to buy a used copy of Ghost Recon... one of the last editions of PS2.... let's just say, I played about 2 minutes of it... Luckily it was only like $8 or something
