Oh I believe it. I do regret not making one earlier as now I really hate grinding through the low levels. Still only have a lvl 31 and lvl 8. -_-

I imagine since I was able to upgrade boots and gloves with one character chances are I would easily have leveled the chest also with a second character as I only need a couple more crota runs. But then again if I was 32 im not sure if id lose all interest in the game. At least I have something to work on still. Hahaha

Any of you try the crota hard raid? Were going to try this weekend. I watched some streaming videos yesterday. Not sure if crota was acting properly but damn it looks impossible. Yeah its already been done like 20 times and the last stream I gound was a group on their 8th run just walking their clam members through it. They are on ps4. I guess they hold raffles to help non members once they get their groups through.

They seemed to have no problem where as another group of 32s only swing the sword twice before crota is instantly up and beheads the sword carrier.

Im down for the beginning chests though!

My push for 32 layout.
Ghorn has become my Exotic of choice. After that is Ice Breaker.
Hunger of Crota and Black Hammer make great Legendary counterparts for the above named two.
Leveling up the Multitool for Crota runs until I can upgrade my Red Death. Fingers crossed Xur has it this weekend. That weapon should make for a great time with its healing factor during the Presence of Crota. Aside from that Epilogue, Confluence, and Timepiece are all great nonlevel32 primaries.
I keep the LDR sniper and Thunderlord, both Arc, just in case. As well as the Harms Way MG and the Trolley Problem Fusion, both in Void.

So close to 32. Three more upgrades in my chest and I will cap. I really want to get that raid helmet and level that up so I can use Heart of Praxic Fire. I keep Starfire Protocol on me for the Maze in Crota's End. Switching a couple perks around and using that chest lets me still throw 2 grenades for the end Knights, float in air while aimed to avoid thrawl and knights, and boost my agility to make me overall quicker while dodging thrawl.

I like my character. I think he is badass. hahaha I am going to make a human character so I can transfer everything over to him. Everyone uses Awoken that I play with and his dance moves suck... maybe I'll go Exo so I can do the robot.

i have 2 warlocks.. it does help.. i got to 32 pretty quick.. i was actually the first in our group to do so.. also it helps that you can transfer gear to another character to do raid again to double your loot.

we also tried crota on hard, got to the end and we got stuck.. going to try it again soon.

on crota hard, you need players that can perform the task at hand.. in normal mode.. you dont really have to pay much attention other than when to shoot rockets.. for hard there are like 5 other things going on at the same time lol

Hit up the Atheon Hard Raid again. No Fatebringer or Vex still.
Two hezen gloves in the same CP, so lame. And a second Timebreaker.

After that our team hit the Crota Hard Raid. We had a team of three 32s, two 31s and a 30.
He knew there was no way to beat Crota himself since teams of 32s are having issues. But we figured we could probably make it to Crota on Hard... we were right.

The entire raid minus Crota is not too bad on hard. Dark maze honestly didnt seem any harder. The ogres at the end were hallowed. Most of us died on the way or by the hallowed ogre or knight. But once it was down to the two guys that had invisible they got through without even trying.

Picked up what has become my main primary. Abyss Defiant. It's an auto with more impact than the raid pulse rifle. With a red dot and the perk so the gun slows down while zoomed and does extra damage... OMG. Love it.
Also found Oversoul Edict, the raid pulse with Arc. So I dont care about Fatebringer now that I have a 331 primary with arc. Wooo.

Two upgrades away from 32. I need 14 total shards. I have 1 shard and 3 energy. As well, 6 idols waiting to turn energy into shards if it means I'll hit 32 sooner.

Second warlock is at level 14 now. Just 6 more levels and I'll have a second raid/nightfall character.
Once I level cap one warlock Ill probably erase the second and start a Titan just because.



I dont know why they show 272 damage in these pics. They start at 300 and cap at 331. These must be leaked pics or something.

Beat Crota on hard yesterday with a few friends. We've been trying to do it for a few days now and finally got it done. Had to switch out some team members that were bringing everyone down. Got the arc scout rife...Fang of Ir Yut, Glowhoo shader, and the hive spaceship. Going to try again tonight with a different character.

hahaha I hear that. I have 3 shards. I need 11 more to hit 32.
I have 4 black wax idols ready to convert any energy to shards I get from this weeks raids.

Tell me if there is a hole in this logic guys.
I need shards asap. I dont care about energy at the moment.
Since the hard raid has possible weapon drops... some that the normal raid does not. And since those weapons would only give energy when broken down... would it be smarter to do the raid on normal first to assure a better chance of getting shards or an item that breaks down to shards.
I figure.
Normal Raid = Shards, Armor(shards2), Energy
Hard Raid = Shards, Armor(shards2), Energy, Weapons(energy2)

Does that make sense or am I thinking too hard??

I'm hearing that some raid gear can produce radiant shards if dismantled? I don't have any to do it but I wonder if this is true.

raid gear does give raidant shards/ energies when dismantled.

ive done it several times already as i keep getting raid gloves.

we logged on at like 8pm and we all asked each other if we want to give hard mode another try since we tried it several dozen times the day before.... we got it on the first run as you can see i wiped in the beginning of the game as one of my team members joined.

Awesome. I'm looking at that right now. I will have to use my Voidwalker during Crota as resurrect isnt the best idea with the oversoul around.

I wonder what type of Nova bomb perk serves best. As well which grenade... I assume Axion bolt and the tracking nova bomb maybe?

Played up until the Deathsinger with a random group of people. Jumped in with a 32 to try and grab the first chest. Then a second 32 joined and we began running for the bridge. After a few tries they were able to get up to the bridge while I lagged across thanks to a resurrection.
Cheesed the second bridge by getting the 32 across the bridge legit then the other 32 and I got up out of the map and killed the ogres.
Hit the shreakers and made it through to that chest which is where I called it a night.
I got enough material to level cap and Ive got an extra Oversoul Edict and 4 energy. Very happy. Level 32. Wooooo. Now to grind for the helmet so I can swap to the Praxic Fire chest piece.

I am 32 using Raid gear plus Obsidian Mind.

For a warlock you should try to find the Apotheosis Veil exotic helmet. Using your super and picking up orbs regenerates your health while wearing it. Huge help during the Crota fight on hard. But any other time I'm using Praxic Fire.

I was using Apotheosis Veil.. best helment for warlock for beating crota... as a void walker with Apotheosis Veil, you have pretty much 3 ways to regen health.. life steal melee, picking up orbs, using your super.


also we 4 man crota again last night, did it in 5 attempts.. only popped one synthesis as heavy kept dropping for me

Yeah you guys made that 4 man run look super easy. I never tried it with voidwalker.

no reason to use sunslinger in raid where you cant regen health.. even with sunslinger revive super.. that is useless too as it summons oversoul which is pointless to kill.

You'll regain health if you're wearing Apotheosis Veil exotic helm. Voidwalker has energy drain though which gives you a third way to regain your own health.

I think the focus on not using sunsinger is due to most people using it as a way to cheat death. But on hard crota cheating death via resurrection means death for the entire squad with that oversoul looming.
lol I can dance in the tower for about 5 minutes before people start messaging me for nightfall and raid help. 32s really are in a world their own.

Beat Crota hard last night with a fireteam of 5 level32s.
I had won the crota pulse rifle and auto rifle during the hard raid around Tuesday. We stopped at crota but never tried because it was too late.

Last night I joined a team someone from one of my clans put together. They had been trying since Wednesday. Same method potmilks posted except they hang out the the ledge instead of the smaller side rooms.
Took us maybe 4 tries with a fire team of 6. One guy left, a 31, then we beat it with five 32s.

I got a second helmet and glowhoo. Now time to win that crux of crota.

We tried again last night. New team of 6 guardians. We could not get passed the deathsinger.
We just couldnt get everyone to rush the rooms correctly. Seemed to me all the good players would get in and at least take the wizards down. Most of the time the shreakers too. We'd always be left with 2 people who we then have to yell at to leave the towers because they just dont understand you cant kill the wizards, the shreakers, AND the deathsinger from the tower. You can only kill the wizard IF they come out. But a good player can kill them in the back room before they exit.

I cant say how many times we'd yell at a specific player to leave the tower and kill the shreaker. Should be common sense that once you kill the wizard the shreaker is next. We yell at them to go kill the shreaker and they respond "which side?" THE SIDE YOU WERE TOLD TO WATCH. God damn.

So frustrating when 32s just dont know how to complete it. It becomes clear who just gets carried through these events and who actually can handle them.

Add to that people start saying they have no heavy ammo or they left their Ghorn on their other player. Ugh. People need to be ready for Crota. It's not a walk in the park. Shit has to be done flawlessly.

Well in reality The Truth is still a great launcher against Crota. Same for Hunger of Crota. Anything that tracks Crota is going to be a great help as he tends to side step. A rocket without tracking will probably only hit Crota half the time or less.

Dragon Breath not so much as you'll need a perfect launch to even hit him. Then once you do he will guarantee walk away from the solar flare. May also make it harder for the sword bearer as they now have to chase Crota once he dodges the solar flare.

Id just be worried about the rocket flying right past crota if he takes one step to the side. Depending on the velocity though it may not matter. Slow velocity and the enemy will quite literally see the rocket coming and dodge it. Vex are amazing at this. -_- Damn teleporters.

I have been using the One Way Ticket on my lvl30 and cant stand when the rocket flys right between a Knights legs and out of his way. I got a second Hunger of Crota which I will be keeping for that lvl30. Screw the One Way Ticket and its slow velocity/no tracking.

I love shooting at a vex minotaur and watching it teleport and seeing the Ghorn make a hard right turn and still nail his ass.
My buddy still claims the Ghorn is better than the Ice Breaker. I remember when I first got the Ice Breaker I said n here I didnt know if Id like it and TSXy told me I knew nothing... john snow. hahaha He was right. hahaha

So some friends and I were fighting Crota in hard mode and we were on the 3rd and final sword. After we hit him the 3rd and final time on his first kneel down, he would enrage and immediately chase the sword bearer into the bubble at the top of the stairs and kill everyone. Why is he doing this or is it some trick that we're missing? Previously we were beating it using the Hunter blink strike method.

you should do the tower method.. usually we get it in the 2nd try..

Here is our method..

run straight out, split the teams of 3 and run to the high towers where the boomers spawn...
designate 1 person to go inside crystal room and shoot the wizard to pull them out.

the two players at the tower on each side will snipe the wizard as they come out.
once both side is down, call it out.. if right side is down first, left side should help out.
once confirmed both sides are down, designate 1 person on each side to run inside to take down the shrieker.. gjallahorn is prefered as it takes 1 shot and a few shots of primary.. (both sides need to go down within a 15 secs.. or at the same time)

once that has been done, all run to the left (from crota's view) as there is less enemies..

have a titan throw up a blinding bubble and have a few people jump up and out of the bubble to rocket deathsinger..

have 1 person designated to take out adds around the bubble.

that should be it..

deathsinger is easy to kill... the knights are much harder than deathsinger IMO

btw, before you start it you should already designate players to a specific task.. like who pulls wizards out, who has rockets to kill shriekers.. the key to deathsinger is communication.. you have to have a plan..

we normally dont because we already know who is doing it.. but for a LFG fireteam.. you do need to assign roles.

One more character to run through with but he doesnt have any regen capability so I probably wont try with him.

Got the Word of Crota though. Very happy with that.

With the team I play with daily we cant seem to get Crota down. Though we do always have two 31s with us and only 2 Ghorns aside from the swordbearer's.

But whenever I can meet up with my clan we finish it within a couple tries.

Well tonight's VoG runs were lucrative for our team.. mainly me.

One of our guys got a Ghorn that didn't previously have it. Which means we have 3 dedicated Ghorns aside from the Swordbearer who has his own.

Two of us got the Vex, for what that matters. I've wanted it for some time just to say I have to. May give it a whirl in the crucible.
Second time through picked up the Fatebringer finally. So with today I finally got every piece of VoG gear possible.

Now I just need the ship, sparrow, fang, and crux from Crota's End and I'll have all raid gear. In the mean time I now have plenty of gear to level up and two more clan members to level cap before the next DLC.

nice! fatebringer will be your friend.. its my go to gun 90% of the time if i am playing PVE.. aside from icebreaker..

for CE Hard, a GHORN is a must.. even with full team all you need is 3 GHORN shots and some change to take down crota.. that is how powerful the rocket launcher is..

few days ago we were able to run crota end twice in about an hour and half.. we took him out easily and we kept with the side method vs the center method... i should post up the video of me being CLUTCH when he enranged.. video coming up soon
