SF3 was a much better game then the Alpha series IMO.

I'm really hoping Ibuki makes it in.

Edit: Although.. if you look at the way they're releasing characters, it seems like they're releasing them according to the SF series debuts.

Nov 2009: Characters from SF Alpha Series..

Jan 2010: Characters from SF III????

I'm disappointed with what they added for my two mains, Akuma/Rose. The Tazmanian Devil shit Akuma has going for his second ultra is too comical for a serious character and Rose's Soul Satellites seem useless at first glance.

 

Just modded the TE with Art's plexi. Full panel, black, etched button labels, no middle screws.



I went with the full panel so that my palm-sweat wouldn't so easily get to the metal underneath... it was pretty gross when installing... click at your own risk

Just on sheer comedic value alone, I give him a 9/10.

Otherwise, I'm sad that his spot is wasted by a potential other old favorite SF characters (Karin/Rolento/Remy/etc).

 

I've been laughing for the last few days on the SRK forums, Hakan is so over-the-top.

Chun-Li, Rose and Ken got huge buffs, Akuma's nerfs in the previous builds are now reverted. But his infinite loop is gone. Akuma's Ultra 2 is still an embarrassment to Akuma. Bison/Dictator seems really good too, his U2 has a lot more uses.

For those following the 3s characters, Dudley is pretty much confirmed to be better than SF4 Sagat in terms of dominating a match. The rest will be mid-high tier, I think Guy is low-mid tier.

I think I got most of that right .. Either way, I'm so hyped right now, I can barely contain it.

I'm also entering my first tourney in two weeks, but I can't find the time to practice.

 

I used to be pretty competitive in fighting tourneys (Tekken, KoF series, SF III 3rd strike, Snk v. Cap) but only play casually now. I still rape in the latest Tekken though, since the game mechanics haven't changed all that much, unlike the SF series.

Mystikk, theres no "official" tier list out right? I've also heard reports that Dudley is a "pressure beast" and his priority on his moves are ridiculous.

I'm assuming once the pros (like daigo) get their hands on it, Tier lists will come out.

 

No, no official tier lists are out, so everything we're/I'm saying is nothing but conjecture .. for instance, on the surface, Gen got unnecessarily nerfed pretty damn hard, they took out MK hands for him, basically rendering him worse than useless on paper .. but maybe Cap's added something else to his game that none of the early test players have picked up on.

The buffs, however, will already tell you how much improvement the receiving characters will experience. Ken can now srk -> fadc -> u1 with full ultra animation and he has more invincibility on fp srk .. Rose can combo into u1 just by doing hp reflect on someone, or sub u1 for soul throw. Testers found some nasty ways her new ultra can work too. She's definitely beasty now, looks like I'm going back to 50/50 Rose/Akuma.
