I'm still playing black ops but only for nazi zombies (can get to lvl 23), I completely played out multiplayer with 3rd prestige lvl28.

I may revisit MW2, but I also may just stop playing anything instead. I've played way too much this year..

Hackers and cheats are taking full advantage of the freshly cracked PlayStation 3, with Modern Warfare 2 players bearing the brunt of the assault -- and Infinity Ward says there is nothing it can do about it.

Creative Strategist Robert Bowling stated in a post on the Infinity Ward forums that the studio empathizes with frustrated, law-abiding PS3 Modern Warfare 2 gamers, but it's up to Sony to resolve the console's security issues.

"Games rely on the security of the encryption on the platforms they're played on, therefore, updates to the game through patches will not resolve this problem, unless the security exploit itself is resolved on the platform," Bowling wrote. "Regretfully, Call of Duty games are receiving the bulk of the hackers' attention, due to its high player counts and popularity."

At this point, Bowling said the only way to avoid the numerous hacks and cheats being used is to play Modern Warfare 2 exclusively with friends in private matches.

"In the future we plan to adjust our approach to not rely solely on platform security and reduce the ability for this to happen in our games, as has already been displayed by the work Treyarch has done on Call of Duty: Black Ops to prevent similar measures," Bowling stated.

My brother was playing MW2 a lot this past weekend (PS3) and about 50% of the games were hacked. A couple were challenge lobbies.

 

been playing this lately, trying to get freaking extended mags for the AA-12...

 

its funny cause i have the RPD and AA-12 combo. and i suck ass with it. K/D ratio is always low, at best 1:1

funny when people say "you suck ass" i then switch over to an AR and handgun combo type deal and i usually still do pretty well and they stop saying shit.

 

shit, I might even go back to MW2... I never really got into Black Ops

 

i been playing a lot, with run and gun (marathon / LW / ninja/commando) classes. and also just trying new things, trying to be creative with it. having a sh*tload of fun.

also trying out new weapons i pretty much never used before.

 

Really want extended mags on the aa-12. To bad you can put in the rounds they used in the expendables (it's a real bullet for the gun too)

the quick scopers are kinda annoying.... they are kinda hard to kill

the 2 things i like better about this game than Black Ops - the graphics, and the killing feels too subdued in BO. it just doesnt have the same feeling as in MW2. all the weapons are diluted.

 

yea ive been noticing alot of quick scopers lately, reminds me of my counterstrike days

 

btw i got extended mags for the RPD and AA-12.. ohh man!

looks like there's no more hacking since the last software update (a few days ago)... it was fun to see though (I played during that time, for a few days) - it reminded me of the Unreal days - was in a match once with low grav for instance so you would jump high and could jump up onto things like rooftops. Was really cool.

in another one, there was a "Mega Emergency Airdrop" at some point towards the end of the match (I think the admin of the game picks when to do it). its the Emergency Airdrop plane, only its flying like a chopper and periodically stopping in mid air (really funny to see)..., and dropping a snake-like path of crates, and majority of em were AC-130's. i picked up like 10 of em lol. and just kept using em. theres another mod where Stealth bombers come by the map one after another in succession. the sucky thing in these is that for many the admin is in god mode, so you cant kill him. kinda dumb, but it was still fun! There was another game where a dude was flying a F15 or whatever plane that is around, and it was like stuck in a building lol..

 

this was a thrilling game at Favela tonight, I was down 21-12 at the final minute (the first guy had 28) and called in a Pavelow and that did some serious work in addition to my ensuing gun kills.

I played this the other night. MUCH more fun than Black Ops.

 

I forgot to mention that I warmed up with a couple FFA games and each game I was in over half of the players were boosting. So glad that got fixed in Black Ops.

 

saw that a couple times last night in over 10 matches... what I noticed is the no-scope-snipers are just crazy good now I mean its ridiculous.

 

Nice comeback, those are always the best wins. Never stop finding people to kill, you never know... someone may be way behind in kills but can catch up really quickly

 

had a good last few mins at Estate, called in 2 Pavelow's on an EAD

damn just had one of the most satisfying games. Scrapyard FFA, I was up 26-14, and got a Stealth Bomber which cleaned up for the win. It was at least 4 kills, because it doesn't tell you at the end like that. it was sweet!

 

Rust... so close! I coulda had this game in the bag if I played just a little harder...

damn and Ive been playing the SCAR FMJ with sleight of hand tonight... its so good!

 

This is the only game I have and I still play it almost everyday.
