looks good. noticed it did look pretty similar to Battlefield. It looks fun, and I have no idea if the game engine is similar or whatever but whenever I play BC2 it just doesn't have that same addictive quality that MW2 has.

Wow, reviews are not nearly as good as I hoped.

IGN gave it 6/10.

The only review to give a 90+ is some site from Italy.

MoHs singleplayer-experience can't match Infinity Ward's masterpiece, but DICEs Multiplayer part countervails that little shortfall pretty well. Bottom line: No Must-Have, but a good shooter nevertheless.

Medal of Honor's campaign is well-scripted and well-acted, and parts of it are superbly nerve-racking, but its uninventive missions and premature ending left us wanting. The multiplayer, however, is a different game. No, it's actually a different game, and it's what DICE does best.
:thumbsdow
The top strength of Medal of Honor is in the single-player campaign, and Danger Close has done an incredible job of putting together a tribute to the Special Forces community, honoring their many sacrifices. The same can't be said for the effort DICE has put forth with multiplayer, as it feels unpolished and in some regards unbalanced and unfinished.
:thumbsdow
All the parts for a great multiplayer experience are here – class unlocks, a variety of familiar modes, lots of guns – but they don't come together in a way that makes Medal of Honor a must-play shooter. Military buffs may enjoy the game on some level, but in such a densely packed genre, EA must try harder to stand out.
ack.

if games these days had the feature where you can reconfigure the control pad, I'd buy this... but what I hate is getting used to one game, then going to another, then back to the first one... I get all f'd

It's actually not a bad game at all. The sound is amazing and it's closer to BC2 than it is to COD. I've only played single player so far and I wouldn't say that it's any worse than MW2.

Multiplayer sucks!

That being said, Single player told a compelling story that kept me wanting to come back. Im playing through for the second time, and have to say it is far better the MW2's storyline.
I really appreciate the references to The Battle of Takur Ghar

I would say it's worth at least renting

Finished the campaign and it was better than I expected. IMO it's BC2 > MW2 and MoH

It's definitely worth renting, especially since the campaign is pretty short. i tried playing online and I thought it was pretty enjoyable.

agree with this. just played some multiplayer this morning and i need to get used to it and the maps. its weird coming from BC2, Medal of Honor is more detailed as far as graphics. classes are the same minus the medic

I'll never get a game based on an IGN review aagain. I wonder what they were smoking when they gave this game a 6.0. An 8.5 would be more like it.

I don't understand any of the low reviews, it's like they were playing a different game.

hmm... now you guys are making me wanna keep it! I dont mind people being hard to see, if anything I think people are TOO EASY to see in COD. imagine if it was real life, wouldn't you try your hardest to stay invisible and hard to see? so being hard to see comes off as more realistic, to me.

what I hate about MW2's multiplayer is... when you're playing on the Brazilian guerrillas side, wearing bright yellow/blue soccer shirts. Who da fuck goes to war wearing shirts like that?!?!

sometimes in the beginning of a match, if I'm playing with people I know:

me: "Anil..."
Sly: "what"
me: "turn and look at me..."
Sly: "what??"
me: "just turn and look at me..."
Sly: "okay"
me: "what color is my shirt?"
Sly: "WHAT??!!"
me: "What color is my shirt?? Am I wearing that bright yellow/blue soccer shirt??"

Or if were play as Rangers/Seals

me: "Anil"
Sly: "What?"
me: "look at me..."
Sly: "huh?"
me: "turn and look at me..."
Sly: "ummm okay"
me: "Am I a white or black guy?"
Sly: "Black"
me: "you know what THAT means"

No not the fact that they are trying to stay invisible like sitting and sniping or something. It's just that they all blend in with all the surroundings. I guess it does make it more realistic though, I'm getting used to it. But yeah it's better than some jackass just camping in a dark corner like on MW2.

yeah that is what I thought you were talking about, that it was hard to see people because they blend in. and, I think that is good. will see, I should have the game waiting at home. I guess I will open it.

it needs more maps, and variety of maps, thats the only thing that started to get old. the sounds of the guns are great (and better than COD, imo). the sniping is just as satisfying as it was in BF (again, better than COD). The look and feel is more realistic than COD, and it is tough to see people sometimes but I notice when they are in a dark area, they kind of have a highlight around them, making it 'easy' to see someone is there. So it's not like you can just be all stealth in a cave or something.

I was concerned at first because on the back it says its 720p video, not 1080.. and it does seem like its lower res, but thankfully this does not affect gameplay. Can still snipe straight across a map with no issues. Even use a M16A4 with pretty good accuracy, long range. I know I will be playing more tonight.
