It's a typical case of "gamers think it's awesome, reviewers say it sucks".
I haven't personally played it, but my gamer friends have said the reviewers are just a bunch of pretentious cocks and they enjoyed DNF.

Can't remember what exactly, but I know I've seen a least a few movies that I specifically saw that critics had raging hard ons for on rotten tomatoes.... went to see the movie and it bored me to tears or I just didn't like it.
People need to go a little less off of what paid critics say, and more off of what the people say.
Still I think I will at least try this out through a rental, unless it has great replay value or at least a good multiplayer experience. One of those few "just cause" games, being "just cause it's Duke Nukem FFS"

I am playing through it right now. Controls are way too twitchy. Even with the sensitivity set at 3/10. There are some enemies in the game that I find them hard to kill because of that. It's pretty annoying when stuff is coming at you so fast and you can't kill them fast enough because you can't target them to kill them.
It's just about like every other shooter. Very linear, but there are a lot of little puzzles that you will need to figure out in order to progress.
In the end, I am glad that I rented it because I don't think I would play again after I beat it. The controls are just too much of a turn off for me.

they ALREADY dropped the price to $30
Either way, I think we all saw this coming. Regardless of how the game turned out, there's no way it could have had received good reviews. Not with all the hype and controversy. People need to realize just how useless critics of any kind usually are.
Oh wait nvm the game never came out.
