Yes but it's a "beast" at rendering most games at less than 720p...
I mean look at COD or GT5

I preordered for pc anyways.
Probably gonna need a new CPU and GPU.
I looked up prices for a core 2 quad (the highest my motherboard can handle)
The 3.0Ghz Q9650? Is around $350... If I spend a little more I could get an i7 + motherboard..

Game looks so good. Though EA isn't much better, screw Activision and their shitty, overpriced pre-made map packs. Can't wait for it to come out...
Still better than a console FPS though the mouse will basically aim the cursor where you put it. With a joystick it's more like drag the stick in one direction until it's almost on point, then let auto-aim do the rest.
Not to mention with a gaming mouse you can adjust sensitivity on the fly. No more start->options->sensitivity->*adjust*->start like in consoles.

Though I'm sure there still will be campers, I really like how the maps are laid out... it seems adverse to camping. Too big to just sit around in one spot.
Maybe it's just me.... I have a short attention span and something like that would bore the crap out of me

missed my point... it's not about aim, or ability to aim... or pc better than console.
you take a game with great graphics and otherwise silky smooth gameplay.. and when fitted with a mouse he looks around like he's in the matrix.
sure console is more sluggish and maybe less efficient.. but isn't that more human?
commence on the pc is greater discussion, although that wasn't what I was getting at. I was saying it bothers me how nice it looks but it's hard to enjoy it in the video bc of how sensitive his mouse is.

ah, the old pointy elbows critique. BF3 looks the way it does, and of all things you complain about the way the mouse makes the camera look?
If I wanted something realistic and human looking, I'd watch the military channel. This game happens to look like... well, a game.

if it's the only complaint I have I'd say they did a pretty good job
and in reality, my complaint isn't really with the game itself.

nobody go out and waste in store credit or money on MOH Limited Edition..
battlefields Facebook page came out and said the Beat will be OPEN/Public.
even though they made a point to tell everyone months ago that you would NEED the MOH game to gain access to the beta... its now public and everyone will get to play.
the backpedaled by saying you get in 48 hours early with the MOH game disc.....
well played MOH.... well played...

doesnt matter... if it looked like the original modern warfare it would sell 8 million the first weekend...
people are sheep and refuse to try other/better games due to blind fanboyism..
i'll probably buy both.
one b/c i think it'll be a better overall game. and one to play with all my retarded friends who dont want to buy BF3 b/c COD is automatically better...

haha, I'm the other way around. I like to just find a good sniping spot in BFBC2 and sit there for a half hour slowly picking random people off

Buying both is the only logical choice.
Honestly feel like they're both gonna be great games. And I love the whole world war 3 1st world urban setting. Reminds me of the awesome book Red Storm Rising

I'll be getting both. I just have this itching feeling that MW3 is gonna be buggy as hell.

I'm buying both for sure... but I just wish that you can customize the controls/buttons so that they are both the same and the way you like it. Because it throws me off when I switch back and forth

Hmm..
I really should get into games like this. I think the last one I really put effort into was Unreal Tournament, I was damn good

Ken weren't you big into SOCOM? Don't you think that's pretty similar I mean, more similar than Unreal?

Yeah, SOCOM is a lot closer than Unreal is, just a bit. I never had the time before like I do now though. Nothing worse than being interrupted every 15 minutes and trying to plan an attack

I never played SOCOM but I think those games were pretty long no? I think you'll be ok with BF3

The BF series in comparison is more 'casual' with its multiplayer.

I shave my change purse
So is anyone pre-ordering?
I am about to pull the trigger on ps3 pre-order for release day delivery
http://www.amazon.com/Battlefield-3-...6973965&sr=8-2
I really need to build a new desktop. Would love to play the PC version instead
Battlefield 3 tops 1.5 million pre-orders
Bonus map pack "a big incentive for customers to pre-order", analyst reckons
