360, PS3: Fight Night Round 4

No thread? Searched and couldn't find anything.

Anyone playing this? I loved FNR3, and I'm loving this one just as much. Jesus it's a lot harder than it's predecessors. Although I have a PS3 now, I still bought it for the 360 because I was used to the controller from FNR3 (opening week 360 with no HDMI for 1080p FTL)

I like the new health and stamina meters. And the between rounds stuff is much easier with the point system. The graphics are sick; but, I think I kind of preferred the almost 'film' like quality in 3. At times, the skin can look too plastic to me.

The create a boxer feature has improved in some areas (complete customization of outfits, etc.), but if you don't have a cam and take a pic of your mug, you can't advance edit any of the faces. Hell, we used to sit around and get drunk creating fucked up looking fighters in FNR3 (maybe I'm missing a feature?). I tried to setup an EA account to upload photos (as the game suggests); but couldn't find anywhere to do it.

I wish that you could level out the haymakers so that if you want to use them like the old 'arcade' style you could. I pretty much suck against anyone but the computer and have finally just resigned to the fact that in legacy mode, I'm going to have to take a loss here and there

Anyone else playing? Love to hear some tips and tricks!

I play on the ps3. I find computers you can just throw one punch and win. Haven't played the GOAT difficulty though.

For other people... Counters. Practice against the computer playing a match using counters only.

My fav special is the Tyson special where he ducks and comes up with a leading hook. Very tricky because you can go high or low.

One punch knock outs only happen during counters, haymakers or specials too.

Im loving the game, but hating the b*tchass players who quit when you beat em!

Not sure about the arcade style hay makers, but I heard there will be a new controller scheme/button mapping download coming in September.

FOR THOSE THAT ARE INTERESTED

I saw that Best Buy is having a sale on FNR4, at a measly $20! I just went and picked mine up. Fucking steal if you ask me
