bout friggin time! The last Castlevania game I've played was Castlevania 64. Most people didn't like it, but I thought it was good. This looks like a definite buy for me as well; so add another game to my purchase list...

Personally, I wish Konami would just drop the whole 3D nonsense and go back to Castlevania's 2D platforming roots...

The two PS2 releases were 3D and were decent...but, still, my favourites were the NES games and Super Castlevania for the SNES...

 

Not to mention Symphony of the Night, my favorite. Still, with Kojima involved, this should be good.

Can't see the trailers at work but SoTN was one of my favorites. I might have to pick this one up

 

This is one of the few games I continued to play after beating it.

So many good games on the horizon!

 

So....has anyone picked this up yet? How is it? I played the demo, to me its not bad, but its nothing spectacular either. I wonder how the actual game is.......

 

Still not yet...I have a load of games on my to-buy list though...

I rented it and so far...I'm not feeling the game. They need to bring back the 2d platform for it to have the true OG Castlevania feel for the game.

 

From what I read, that's apparently the flaw with the game...it seems to lack the true Castlevania flavor/roots...

...something is missing.




Personally, I think they should really stop with the 3rd person format and go back to a nice 2D platformer...seriously, games can still be gems in that format (i.e. LittleBigPlanet, Mario Bros. on the Wii)...!

 

Well, I was one of the few that actually liked Castlevania 64, with that being said, do you think I would like LoS?

In any case, it looks like this game is not living up to the hype, so if I'm patient, I may be able to pick this up for a reduced price later on.

I will scratch this off my list for now and look to getting NBA 2K11 and Halo Reach and MAYBE Black Ops.

 

So...who has played this...can anyone give me a full rundown on the story?

 

I still haven't had a chance to play it but it can be had for $9 shipped on Newegg. Might be worth a shot
