Saturday night, sunday morning, at 1:00am, Me in my cls, and my brother in his solara, went out to beltway 495, in Maryland through the S turns to try out my new springs! I just got some Tien springs put on and I wanted to try them out, so we did it when there was less traffic on the road! As we got to 495(4 lanes) from I-270, we saw a spec V and a Maxima fly by. Since me and my brother where doing 75mph, I think they were going about at least 95 to 100mph! I flashed my lights at my brother Once, and we begin to chase! The s turns last about 2 miles! We were a quarter of a mile in to the S turns, and we caught up to them! So both of the guys hit, and so did we! We came into One turn and me and my brother split in between them, and was toying with them! We hit One more curve and we begin to pull away at 115mph! We hit the next curve at 120mph. Then we pulled off the exit and was laughing about the way we whoop those guys! So on the way back home We went through the S turns again, and when we got to the end to get back on I-270 where it turns into 6 lanes, this 300 hemi C, was playing with my brother, so they started racing, and my brother was giving it to the hemi C! At this time i let them put about 7 cars on me, then I begin to hit it! My brother was doing 142mph and started pulling away from the hemi C which, give or take was doing about 125 or 130mph! I blew by the 300 hemi C like he was standing still! I hit 150mph before I shut it off and caught my brother! That was the fasted i ever been in my car! Well we had a lot of fun that night, and I love my new springs! I just thought I would share my night with having my new springs on! Lucky there where no cops in sight!

wow, sounds like quite the story. have you ever ran your bro's solara? those things have less than 200 bhp and weigh as much or more than our tuna boats. his toyota must be pretty modded in order to do that to a 300 C.

yeah i've been wasted by a hemi c. couldn't pull anywhere. but i kept up a little better at higher speeds.

Does your brother's Solara have any mods? Theres no way a stock solara can keep up with the 300c. I can say this from experience because i raced one on the freeway. We hit it from 75 mph and by the end of third i had pulled 1 car on him. Then I hit 4th and by the time I reached the v-tec range he pulled up next to me but couldnt pass me. We shut off at about 130 (this was at 3am, so no cars around) and i had put 1 car on him. The one I raced had some big ass rims on, so one with stock wheels might have been harder to beat.

Nah, My bothers solara is not stock, its pretty hooked up! Hes got a CAI, cat back Exhaust, springs, spark plugs, and a torque converter. I didn't know solaras where that fast, until he raced it!

doesnt sound like much... a 2006 v6 solara is putting out around 210 at the crank so I cant imagine any other model differing much from that. In this case, your brother would need alot more power to keep up with you, a maxima, or even a 300C hemi...

or maybe they were all just bad drivers...

Yeah it dosen't sound like much and some say my car is a freak from the factory, but it pulls nice and some of your members have seen it move (maybe not all out, but I have hit it a few times) maybe its the torque converter but it pulls really nice. Now as far as the Hemi goes I did a little research cause it honestly looked like the car hit a brick wall at 125 and I found that the car is limited electronically at 126-130 (when the fuel cuts out) That's just sad all that HP and no room to play. So fellas there it is

i have witnessed this for myself today. first we were on an onramp that is a fast swooping curve. i was in 3rd and just pulled enough on him to be 2 cl's in front of him. after 4th came in, he was right on my ass in the fast lane. right as we approached 125-130, he dropped behind. whether the limiter kicked in or he layed off the gas and braked is unknown.

The 300C is a monster but not at 100+ alot of cars are that way. In my little double deuce I try and keep 4th gear open till 115-120 knowing most cars have limiters and I can just keep going till 140. It depends what model Maxima because the 02+ is pretty quick and the spec v with a little modding can be a crazy sleeper for 16K, the spec v is nice but its like buying the Srt-4 in the back of your mind you know you're still driving a Sentra and Neon

Good story... Isn't the CL rev limiter a problem for you? or have you found a way to bypass that?

i've noticed that my speedo is off at those kind of speeds. mine reads right at 150 when the speed limiter cuts out the fun.
