6 speed 1/4

Ok i went to the track in hampton bays yesterday, i'll get my timeslip up soon, but im' sorry it was impossible, after 5 runs my best run was a 14.786@96.344 MPH. thats with all my mods, maybe if i ran more i would've got a better time. Plus it was also 82 degrees out so it was a little too hot to get a decent time. But i smoked a VW GTI so thats ok

That 96 trap could yield low 14s with some practice.

Could you list out the other splits from your run?

Wait a minute, you have headers, pullies and a 6spd and all you could muster out was a 14.7? what was your 60ft time?

And my other numbers are 2.450 60ft
660ft-9.672@76mph.

RoB G its the 60' time.
Even if you had a 2.1(very conservative) the time at the end would be ~.5 quicker making it ~14.2-14.3.
CCar is making power up high though, so thats nice.

i got a 2.203 with draggers headers and cai....i dont think a stock 6 speed's gonna manage a 2.1,however i hole hartedly believe your first mode should be some sticky tires and i cant recomend enough the TOYO T1-S 235/45 or even 225/45 depending on your taste and what you're trying to accomplish...

the car should be able to manage a 2.1 60 ft...LSD and TORQUE will get you a long way...esp with a manual tranny...you cannot compare the 6-speed to an auto with 60 ft times....its a whole nother ball game.

the problem with the run is surely your 60ft which is really pretty bad...but it's your first time running this car so just keep practicing.

well i'm keeping the stock rims cuz rims are a waste of money to me. And i found the falken's for 101 a piece and they're the exact saem size as the tires i have now with a much better tread. I just need to practice, and the tires should help drop .2-.3 seconds off. I can't start without spinning, i have my other timeslips in my car ill check those to see my other 60ft times. BUt i think the tires should help right away

rob i have stock wheels too....the 235/45 fit just fine and are almost the exact same sidewall height...any tire 215 wide regardless of tread will still suck...maybe better but will still suck...trust me...go wider....225...if you want lower profile,an even spotier ride and better handling doe to less side wall flex...or 235...for oem look but still vastly improved all of the above

i had 245/45 's on my dragger 555R nitto's with no problems....toyo recomends 7.5 width wheels....but ford recomended 25 psi ...you see where that got them....the 235/45's fit with out issue...lots of people have them and love them....like myself

Oh, it looks like in your sig that you say that the axelback is soon to come, but you have the other things............but yeah, with a lower 60ft time, low 14's should be no problem.

Be careful of the Coilovers though, if they aren't adjusted exact for racing specifications with fully adjustable shocks too, it may hurt your time some, personally i would suggest springs, unless you plan on spending over a grand and doing it right with the coilovers.

Redo your sig. It looks like Comptech Axelbacks are the only thing that is soon to come.

thats where im' torn. See if i show my car off(cuz i plan on doing some good work to it to show it off) the coils will be better cuz i can raise the car on the way to the show and the slam it when i get there. With springs the cars always lowered. I'm probably gonna end up jsut gettin springs but i dont know.
