1st time to the track

So I took my baby to the track for the first time. Have to say it was fun. Probably something I would not do again for a while, but an experience I feel everyone should have. Anyways.....So I took her just like I drive her every day. Had about a half a tank of gas. I did eventually end up lowering the tire pressure to 27 I believe. I did notice that that I am not getting the full 9lbs of boost that I should have. Was only getting about 8 so my belt might need a bit of tighting. Oh and I really have never tuned the car as there is no one in my area (and believe me I have been looking) that can tune e-managment so I am running 11.5-12 air fuel ratio, which is fine for it as a daily driver with a very basic and generic map. So now for the results:

Best run:
60 ft = 2.1580
330 ft = 5.9504
Et @ 594 ft = 8.4652
1/8 ET = 9.0282
1/8 MPH = 79.92

Non I will say that on one of my runs I did hit 81.53 MPH

Well there you have it.....I not really sure what to make of it but like I said it was fun. Kind of disappointed....Googled a 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile conversion chart and it basically said 9.0 = 14.04. My friend Tim was there with me in his stock 01 PDG CL-S and was running an average of 10.4 which would be approx. 16.22. So I guess that means with everything I've done I'm only 2.18 faster.

Will post the vidio of the above run when I get a chance (have to work this week end).

ok so I think I might be better than 14.04 after searching the board and see some of the other folks slips.....either way a 9 sec 1/8 isn't that bad for a first time.

1/8th mile? Why bother going?

1/4 mile is what counts.

Find 1 & go again

There are tons in FL.

1/8 mile track is 35 min from my house.....hence it was so close. I do what to see what she will do on the 1/4 mile. Just need to get off my ass and find the closest track.

I've always been interested in seeing what your car will do, especially with what's been done to the motor. Honestly, with more pratice, that car should be good for a 13.5 1/4, at least. Probably faster. I'd say get her tuned, then find a 1/4 mile track and run her. If you're willing to make the drive for an awesome tune, you can come up here to GA. www.topspeedsales.com I used to work for them. Doug can tune E-Manage with no problem, and will bring the best out of your set up. I have no clue where Shalimar is, but it'll be worth the drive. There's also a brand new 1/4 mile track in GA, just above the GA/FL line you can go to.

Edit: I just googled where Shalimar is. The new 1/4 mile track is in Valdosta, GA. So may be a couple hour drive.

Edit #2: My bad. It's a good distance. 245 mi – about 4 hours 1 min

Thanks All Mine for the link....will defindely give it a look and most likely a call today. Lol....liked the 1 min in there. Four hours was ok but four hours and one min is a deal breaker. If you could get me a name on the track that would be great. Thanks Clinton

Well I was really excited about finding a place to get tuned, but after three messages over two days and no response I think my search is still on.

Call up there and ask to speak with Tray. Tell him that Buford referred you to him. He'll get you taken care of. Sorry about that, mate. They are usually pretty busy around this time of year. Try again tomorrow around 11:45am
