1/4 mile time

So I went to the track and ran 14.33 @ 99.14 (2.32 on the 0-60'). I got those almost exact numbers twice.

2003 CL-S Manual (92K) w/ XS headers, Comptech full exhaust, RT hi-flo cat, NRG dampers, K&N Drop in, no resonator, thermoblock spacers and UR crank pulley. Stock tires.

Is that around where one would expect to be with the above mods? Any tips on how to get a little bit better numbers? Tips on launch, shift points, minor adjustments and so on.

Thanks

Your results are fair. I would have expected 14.1 or so with your mods, but your 0-60' times are what is hurting you the most. I've never driven a 6spd, so I really can't say how to improve your launch. At the track you can try lowering the air pressure in the front tires, but not too much or your contact patch will actually decrease. I'd try 25-28lbs. You also need to find the rpm range you can launch at that produces the least amount of tire spin. If your wheel hopping, then you need to check into your motor mounts to see if their good, if not check out the group buy in the 2nd Gen discussions.

They are ok. Your 60 is hurting you. Get some better tires & some suspension mods. That will x-fer power better & your times should drop to the 14.1 range. Your trapping 99mph so the power is there. .

Don't forget cool dry weather conditions help and make the car as light as possible.
