Im SO lucky

So I went to court this morning for some tickets:

1. 105 in a marked 45 mph zone (radar)
2. speeding in construction zone
3. invalid insurance card
4. improper lane usage
5. failure to signal when turning
6. Reckless driving

...Now #1 and #6 are considered one step below a felony in IL. I brought a lawyer with me for $500 for 15min and was playing it safe that way. When I got up to the defense stand the prosecutor tells the judge that she spoke with the officer who issued the tickets and that all the charges will be DISMISSED!

OMG I was like "WTF?!" to myself and the lawyer looked pretty surprised too. Apparently the COP told the prosecutor that his radar was effed up and that the tickets werent valid becuz of that.

THANK YOU Mr. Illinois State Trooper!!!

Dude, you would have got your ass hole ripped open.

That seriously could have fucked your life.

I think he just cut you a break for whatever reason. He could have likely perused all of those charges stating your visual observed rate of speed and or your pace in relation to his cars speed etc.

I was going 105mph past the cop but I wwould never speed through a construction zone. I slowed down to 70 after I pasted the guy and down to 45 when we got to the construction zone which was in another 2 miles.

Yeah, I learned my lesson guys. BUY A DAMN RADAR DETECTOR!!!! haha no but seriously it is hard to remind yourself to look down at the speedo when Acuras are just highway cruisers and going 90mph feels like youre doing the speed limit.
