Thats a good ol Club DSM meet, unfortunately I will only be able to stay for a short time. The genius that planned it must not be a boxing fan ! Hope to see some of the Acura guys there.

Do lots of cars show up? Yes.
Are they quality? Eh. I haven't been but I've seen a lot of pics and vids. Guys doing burnouts, revving their shit. This one guy that promotes it on my other forum is a tool.... 16 and annoying as shit.

Hope everything worked out & that Steve was able to help. I just got a ticket coming back from TX, was in Missouri going a bit over 100, radar went crazy, I hit the brakes hard & he still clocked me at 99. Officer was actually pretty cool, rounded down to 95 and said I didnt have to go to court down there.

I have the Escort Passport 9500ix & absolutely love it! Even though you were coming over a hill, I am surprised you weren't able to lower your speed more than 1MPH and his gun received a reading that fast. I thought when your detector alerts you, you should be able to easily lower your speed by 5MPH before his gun gets a reading (especially if you have a nice detector).
The thing with the newer radar guns is that they are faster and have a recall function and all he has to do is hit a button to see the maximum speed that was done throughout his tracking mode. its near the end of the month anyways cops need to fill that quota you should know that.

The thing with the newer radar guns is that they are faster and have a recall function and all he has to do is hit a button to see the maximum speed that was done throughout his tracking mode. its near the end of the month anyways cops need to fill that quota you should know that.
Probably within .5-1 seconds radar guns operate using the time it takes for a radio frequency to touch the car and bounce back.
Same tech is used in fighter jets, and its not just one pulse, its rapid fire pulses after one has returned, another one is already being sent. thats why they track speed rather well.
the only thing that can really defeat radar is RAM(radar absorbing material) or what we call a flood jammer, and what that does is finds the frequency is working on and floods the crap out of it with Radio frequency and basically makes it impossible for the reciever to pick up the signal it sent out.
Its just like how submarines sonar works except its directed instead being sent everywhere, and not having to worry with water slowing down the signal.
Laser speed guns are even faster since light moves at 768k miles per hour.

I typically go 5MPH over on city streets, 10MPH over on county/back roads, & 15MPH over on highways.
it sucks, but it might be the best option for now. but, i will tell u this. im gonna come back in spring/summer of '11 hard. maybe tripling my hp numbers and a new look for the car
