Got it.......

Now, my broken Pinto will be parked in there.......... Happy?

My ultimate garage would be 3 cars wide and 2 cars deep... something around 36-40 wide and 40-50 feet deep... with lots of room for workbenches, with a spot for yard equipment with a rollup door out the back...

I'd want a Porsche 993 and some kind of japanese daily driver.. the rest of the stable would be made up of random older cars and trucks. Those would rotate in and out of my collection as my taste change... Examples: 74-78 Ford Pinto, Pre-1973 VW Karman Ghia 'vert, BMW 2002 (round taillights), 72 Chevy C10 4x4...

I'd probably get a couple of more expensive things too like a 1968-1970 AMC AMX, an a summer weekend convertible (s2k, miata)...

Oh, and some kind of winter beater... like a toyota tacoma 4x4 (4 cly - extra cab)...

EDIT: the 3 car garage thread we have awhile ago was probably a more realistic concept...

1) Porsche 993
2) Japanese Daily Driver
3) random car that would change with my mood...

The older I get the less I seem to want in terms of cars. As far as the garage itself I had a 10k sq/ft garage, 7 bays, 5 two post lifts, 1 four post lift and flat bay is nice just in case, huge work shop with every conceivable tool, the day I sold it was one of the, if not the single happiest day of my life. I have not worked on a car(short of checking oil or gauging tires) in almost a year and I still don't have the itch, thank god!

Now my dream garage would be purely functional and very friendly to live with, nothing more then basic hand tools. I would aim for a 3 car garage, attached to the house, generous on all dimensions but not huge, good lighting, either stamped concrete floor or some sort of epoxy with a pattern in it, one wall would be all license plates, I've been gathering them for over 13 years now and have a few hundred and maybe a bench or two to rest things or a set of shelves to store things in the garage. Overall a very plain area that does not invite one to want to spend time there, but doesn't feel dingy and dark pushing the passers by away. As for the cars to fill it, I don't like managing a fleet so I would probably aim for 2-3 cars plus whatever the misses wanted to drive.

1) Tesla roadster(assuming I liked it after a test drive) or a 997 C2S or maybe a turbo, I haven't driven a turbo yet and I know I like the C2S, I still have mixed feelings about all wheel drive.

2)LS460 or S550, I would lean towards the Lexus just because they blend in better and attract less attention.

My dream garage would probably consist of an AMG CLS as a daily driver, a Gallardo LP560 for the weekends, and a GT-R for the track. I'd probably also rock an E46 M3 just because they are awesome!!
