Came up with the gf's car. Dealer played dumb when I mentioned the update/flash and instead did what was probably a bunch of unnecessary engine work.

And Kimchi, I don't care if the M3 you were eyeing is "OUT OF WARRANTY". Still no excuse for passing it up.

Get your facts straight: I passed on the M3 back in 2001...I passed up a Volvo XC60 and an X5 for the Infiniti. And I have awful winters as a factor.

I think we can all agree you both suck for passing up on M3s.

Yes and yes. The latest update 027 took care of it for the most part. Still slow upshifts annoy me. Keeping it in DS mode helps the most.

Barely at 38k so I'll probably keep the car for a while until my fancy schmanzy GTR powered Q50 comes out and wait a year for the product and demand to get stale and get it on VPP.

Partially. I'm out of the 1 year, 12,000 mile adjustment period and the 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty which covers paint, electronics (including the nav system...gulp) and other trinkets. I'm still under the rest of the 5 year, 60,000 mile general warranty and the 10 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty as well as roadside assistance and rust-through. Both are unlimited mileage and are good for 5 and 7 years, respectively.

Hyundai warranty has more disclaimers than a lawyer's contract. Read carefully.

V wagon in basic warranty, and I bought an extended warranty to 92k miles.

2007 Pilot, no warranty. Had to have the leaking AC repaired last year ($$$ but still less money than paying a couple of car payments), and a rock killed the radiator last year ($$$), wouldn't have been warrantied anyway. Just had timing belt/water pump replaced ($$$, caught a sale otherwise would have been $$$$). 2013 was an expensive year for the Pilot but it's now good to go for another 7 years.

2002 S2000, no warranty, absolutely no problems.

BTW--no car payments FTW!

I shudder to think what service bills would be on a 2010 S4 had I chosen it over my 6MT. Almost 60k on the TL and other than slapping on some new Michelins, virtually painless to own and operate.

TSX is out of warranty but even if it wasn't I don't think they would cover much at this point anyways.

The Lexus is out of original warranty and has 1.5years and 13k left on the CPO warranty. Pretty sure it will be out of warranty by the end of the year. Looked into extending it cause I plan to keep it for another 100k but it would only cover the powertrain if extended and that part I am not really worried about. Worried about the gauges and the navi as they are terrible expensive if they go bad. They are 3k and 5k respectively.

My 2010 GTR is coming up on 4 years old and the warranty is expiring. I have gotten a few calls from extended warranty companies trying to sell me. I love screwing with them due to all the work that has been done LOL.

2014 Kia Cadenza - Under Warranty

The Kia is covered until 2023.

^ It's a shame I won't keep it that long (Lease), it is a great car! No problems at over 5500 Miles.
