And people are actually bidding. The things look like crap, What's so important about these tires that are over 30 years old?

I guess just theire age and relavence to the time period they were made, compared to the time period the car was made...

There is probably more rubber in that tire than current tires as well. Not that this would drive the price up. Would this mean that the tire has expired and is not safe for road use?

there is a protective covering that is on the sidewall, that is why it looks like crap, its comes off

some of the classes for the old mustangs are brutal... No aftermarket parts allowed. Everything (including tires) must be OEM new old stock (NOS). Guys will pay thousands for NOS batteries...

considering the fact that some hemi cudas go for 6 and even 7 digit figures on the market, 3-4gs isnt that expensive
