I guess just theire age and relavence to the time period they were made, compared to the time period the car was made...

There is probably more rubber in that tire than current tires as well. Not that this would drive the price up. Would this mean that the tire has expired and is not safe for road use?

some of the classes for the old mustangs are brutal... No aftermarket parts allowed. Everything (including tires) must be OEM new old stock (NOS). Guys will pay thousands for NOS batteries...

The car these tires will go on will probably never see road use. Just on and off the trailer at shows...

 

considering the fact that some hemi cudas go for 6 and even 7 digit figures on the market, 3-4gs isnt that expensive

 

At that price, age, and rarity, you'd almost have to be nuts to even mount them on wheels or drive on them!

OK.... If you buy these and only have two that would make your classic look like crap with different tires in the rear.

 

man, that would suck if the tires were damaged when being mounted, either by the machine or the tool.

 

I would buy those and put em on and then do the biggest burnout ever known to man.. that would be sweet!!!

 

Not really. He just keeps looking til he finds 2 more. Any of those guys that restore classics will wait til the find exactly what they are looking for.

 

I guess. That is one expensive hobby, but if you got the money....
