You Ever Wish You had Hands Like a Child Again?

With all the plastic and limited engine access on these cars nowadays, it drives me crazy working in tight spots.

Now by no means do I have huge hands, probably average sized and I had to change my water pump and t-stat this past weekend and what a pain. Four different clamps hidden behind the subframe with no access from above. I was pretty much laying on my back for hours just trying to loosen and tightening hose clamps...

It just seems that things have become harder and harder to reach and I kind of wish I had smaller hands because that would probably help immensely on some of these jobs.

Oh well, end rant.

Ha, thanks, DAs are not completely favorable being 1k feet above sea. I'm going to hit the track one more time here in october with meth. Should be able to hit 11.8x I'm hoping. The awd helps on the launch but definitely hurts the good ole trap speed.

They make better mechanics?

They aren't very good at thumb wrestling?

They can't palm a basketball?

They need two hands to hold a whopper?

This is not something to wish for...

I worked with an IT guy who was small in stature. It wasn't until about three weeks into the job that I noticed his hands. They were the size of a five-year-old girls. I must have gasped because he quickly withdrew them for the keyboard and sat on them for the rest of our talk.

It was fucking creepy. You could tell he was embarrassed.

You also could work for Oskar Schindler with small hands, scene from train with children about to be shipped off to concentration camp when Schindler stops the car full of the children workers.

What are you doing? These are mine. These are my workers. They should be on my train. They're skilled munitions workers. They're essential. Essential girls. Their fingers polish the insides of shell metal casings. How else am I to polish the inside of a 45 millimeter shell casing? You tell me. You tell me!

On the serious side I have large hands that are plenty of scars from working in tight area's since I was ~10. Sucks.

But I am talking about the size of the engine compartment and minimal space to do work anymore. I'm afraid with the thread title that if it's put into ramblings that the FBI might start monitoring my computer for specific images.

Thats what my kids are for. Grab them by the ankles, dangle them over the engine compartment and drop them and their little arms/hands into the areas mine wont fit and have them grab the things i cant get to.
