yes it is inexperiance, I myself am guilty, I'm 24 and just got a G35 and have more then one scary experiance. One time I got a flat coming around a corner at about 35 mile per hour the car threw itself sideways. VDC saved me. Christmas Eve morning heading to work with NO TRAFFIC at all I am doing like 85 in the fast lane a Cadillac Escalade pick-up decide to jump in my lane doing 65. I didn't get pissed I just slowed down and got close to him to let him know he cut me off and this fucker brake checks me I just stomed the gas cut right then cut left to get in front of him and my car just started to slide BAD I was scared but Once Again VDC safed me. So I really need to learn to drive this car my Lowered accord just went like hell I would just floor it on highway entrance ramps like 80mph.

True but, in fairness to my Maxima's RE92s, IMO they do alot of different things well but nothing great. I drive my car hard sometimes which takes it beyond its handling envelope (of the tires) but well within the envelope of tires like the S-02. However, the better roadholding S-02s also wont last as long as the RE92s.

I was looking to replace my RE92s last month until I noticed that they really werent that worn down since the time I purchased the car two years ago. So it's a mixed bag.

That said, I'll probably get Nittos next.

Don't compare...the RE040s on the Nissan are a pretty good tire, they dont squeal as much at the envelope because they are performance tires....they take you to a higher limit and then bam!! they lose it...only a fraction of time to react compared to RE92s which are more touring than performance.

I mean I drive my miata around...kick the turbo in...swing the bitch sideways and give it another jab of the throttle and straighten it out. Doesn't matter what tires you have.

BTW, Nittos really suck....go buy some RE750s or Michelins....

Trust me...been working at a tire warehouse for the last year....I know what tires are good....I get feedback everyday....

I hate the RE040's on my Z. They give decent grip, but in colder weather, they are plain dangerous. If the weather drops below 45 degrees or so, they turn to rock. If it's below freezing, it's damn scary at times. The car fishtails and slides with little to no throttle input until they warm up. Even then, they still give no grip. I know they are a summer tire, but I think Nissan is stupid for using these as the only tire option.

I'd much rather have the Pilot Sports on the G35c or S-03's. I have Blizzak's for the winter and replacing the RE040's with another tire in the spring.
