WTF acura lower hp??
i was looking at the acura website and the new tl is rated at 258, mdx 253 and rl 290
if im not mistaken werent these cars rated at a higher hp a few months ago????

this subject has been beaten to death a million times.
try a search for SAE RATINGS or something.
It's just a new rating system. The cars are just as quick/slow as they ever were.

New SAE ratings, my friend..I believe they are testing the engines with the accessories installed on the engine (pumps, etc...), as opposed to before just testing the motor itself. It was something like that...
The american cars all gain horsepower with the new ratings, while the jap cars all lose...The american's underrating their motors and the japs overrating..
