Very, very nicely done! I think I speak for most of us when I say that is one impressive wrap. When I saw the complexity of your design, I was thinking it was going to come out a hack job like that guy that turned his maxima orange in ramblings but clearly this is not the case.

Love the look!

Thanks for the compliments everyone, I was expecting some negative...but it's been overwhelmingly positive!

When I made the first post of what I was thinking I felt that sinking feeling of..."shit, what did I get myself in to."

Killer, dude, there's nothing we could justifiably say that would be negative about such a well executed job. I do agree that after having black wheels, I'm not a huge fan of the plastdipped RFP1's BUT on a long road trip, it'll be nice to peel off the brake dust with the dip rather than having to detail the wheels.

That is awesome. Very well done.

Really makes me want to wrap my car sometime to change it up rather than deal with painting it so it isn't permanent.

^^ If you lived closer, I'd seriously help you do it if you bought the vinyl and supplied beer.

I hate plastidip on cars...haha. I think it looks cheap, but my fav. part of the wrap is the wheels. The silver paint on the RPF1 stock is beautiful so it was hard covering up...oh well, not permanent.

Hmmm maybe I will have to price a plane ticket and beer.

I've got plenty of beds, my friend.

So...day 1 driving this around on normal duty. It's rainy so if anything is going to fail, it will be tonight or tomorrow when it rains even more. Thats a little scary. I have had people point, run stop signs staring, thumbs up everywhere, ricer flybys every 6 seconds and at lunch a small crowds of people would gather and take pictures with it and be on their way. It's crazy the amount of attention it gets. Everyone that passes is staring.

I might be up for that

Thanks for the compliments. There isn't a giant trick to wrapping, only a few small ones. Once you have that down, I'm pretty confident that most, emphasis on most, people could tackle it.

Hey MarbleGT, I really like the wrap. Great job. What are you going to do about the wheels? I don't feel like the black color fits the scheme of the car.

Well, they were silver...I dipped them black. I will most likely, if it ever stops raining, cut some enkei logos out in the blue and put them on where the black existing logos are, but I don't know. Some guys do orange, some do blue, some do silver...but most do black. I liked the look on the old Porsche race cars so I went with it. Plus the black mirrors, windshield frame and badges all tie it in, IMO. Most of all, I wanted to take my car and make it something completely different which I think I've accomplished from every angle.

I love those eyelids but generally hate eyelids. There are a couple of other companies that make them for the 3rd gen Miata but none compare to those. Like you said, it just makes it look mad as hell.

The vinyl you got was likely not wrapping vinyl. A lot of the prettiest metallic vinyl isn't...yet. You would not have screwed up the wrapping stuff, lots easier to work with and thicker. Also, it doesnt fully adhere until you squeegee it with force. You can pop it up until its perfect.

...and next time you order vinyl, PM me first. I can 99% of the time get it cheaper.

I don't know why some are not liking the black wheels. I think it captures more of the race car look with black wheels.
