Considering that an Odyssey with the chairs thrown out can take on 99% of the fartcan Civics in comfort and is a practical vehicle..

Yes. If I had a family, I would rock it... For a people hauler the Honda would tops on my list.

Old guy at work has a Red Rock Pearl Odyssey EX... Doesn't have any young kids anymore (unless you count his grandkids), but he likes the van 'cause he travels alot and it serves as his and his buddies golf trip vehicle..

Vans are very practical. Room to haul stuff without being a pickup truck, and the hondas have the right level of performance/comfort.

Since I'm still (relatively) young, I'd rather have this one:

This one does 12's (and it was cheap to put together):

http://www.turbovan.net/van.html

Fugly as hell tho'

I don't really have a problem with owning a minivan, but I'd sure as hell make sure it wasn't the only vehicle I owned. Need to have something sporty to compliment a minivan.

What about if it runs 12s and outperforms the Audi at the ring?

The 3G Ody can walk pretty much outrun any Civic (exc current gen Si) right up to the Ody's governed speed limit.

That said, the Ody Touring is sweet in stock trim but THAT Ody above is HOT. I NEED some specs on that one!!!!

That's more of a station wagon than a minivan. It would be a decent supplement to the Accord lineup but would be sales disaster as a replacement for the current Ody.

If I HAD to drive a van, the Ody above would be it, but I don't think I would ever go out and buy it...

The last gen Odyssey was actually faster (stock) than the new one, which is porkier. So if you really want to show some tail to the ricers, I'd pimp the old Ody.

My parents have an 05 Touring Odyessey and I love it stock. But doing this to it is cool.

But I would rather have the S4 Quattro shown in Sellout's post.

my buddy just bought that minivan(loaded) for his family, it is pretty inside and out for a family-mobile.

I think he paid around 40k for it.

That's about how much my parents paid too. From what I've heard there is such a high demand for them that most dealers won't negotiate pricing on them either.
