Hey Scott,

My 2005 Black GTO was my first stick I have ever owned. I have 8,000 miles on the car now and I wouldn't change a thing. So far, I haven't had any problems- not even a single rattle. I would say the build quality is much better than my CL-S.

I'm sure you've checked out the forums and there are already tons of mods for these cars. So far, I have installed a Ligenfelter CAI and ordered a set of Xenon's for $270 shipped. Not on my list is long tube headers. Of course, twin turbo setups and superchargers have already been released for the LS2.

I love my GTO and I get compliments on it everyday! Make sure you get the 18" rims! They only cost $500 more and they look a hell of a lot better...

BTW, I really didn't even know how to drive a stick but I made it home safely and it only took me a few days to get used to it! SOOO MUCH FUN!!!!

I have a stock suspension with 19 inch tires and it rides and handles like a dream. Especially on a road course!

A guy i work with has a c6 vette. I went out to look at it and the first thing i looked at was if it was a 6 speed. I then saw it was an auto. Didnt even care about the car anymore.

I drive a stick. It sometimes gets annoying in traffic, but i would never buy an auto. Esp. on a car like that. Its like whats the point of even getting the car.
I agree with one of the other posts, if your gonna get it in an auto you may as well get a camry.

That may be the way I am heading. I have heard a lot of good reviews on it. Frankly, I was waiting on the Hurst review before I decide.
