My first car was an Integra GS-R. Prior to that I had only driven a Stick 2-3 times for a few seconds. But I was so set on getting a GS-R that I didn't care if I didn't know how to drive it. Took me a month to really get used to shifting. But after I did, It was WELL WORTH IT!
Hell I even freakin winged it the whole way home from Santa Monica to Diamond Bar. And I only stalled once on the freeway in stop-go traffic.
And no, I didn't burn out the clutch or anything.

Even so, whether I was commuting from SD, or from home, or anywhere, I've never regretted driving a car with a manual tranny. Now whenever I have to drive a car that is an auto I tend to get bored in them and I get fidgity with the radio and stuff because I'm so bored. Yea you're not changing gears all the time, but still. It's just more fun driving a Manual.
the coolness factor is also worth it

I remember when I was getting my Zeil kit put in my CL-S (no longer in it now) there were a couple guys outside near the garage and they were looking at my car and they were like, "Holy Shyt it's a 6 spd!"

When did you get a 330?
Scott, when I bought my 98 GS-R I had the dealer let me take out a demo for an hour before delivery. Pretty much learned the basics on that. See if they have a demo

in all honesty, the amount of gears in auto tranny's is pretty irrelevant. A 6 speed auto tranny isn't going to be any different then a 4 speed, infact the 4 speed may be more iffecient

This is the same story with my CL, I never had a manual drove one once prior. I did stall the car a lot the first day in stop/go traffic in NJ. I still have the original clutch and 102.5k miles.

My first manual was a 89 Prelude...I was dead set on learning stick (it was my 3rd car)
Two weeks of hell, then boom....smooth sailing there on out. And you only get better.
I love driving stick so much, when I bought my Pathfinder a few months ago...Yes sir its a 5spd manual.

i'm now looking at 05's seeing what kind of deals I can swing on them. I got one dealer down to 28,880 on a silver car w/ 6 speed. We'll see how things pan out. I'm not sure what color I want. I thought I wanted the grey then when I saw it it's like an aqua grey. Not sure if I want silver, something tells me to go to black again, but that's hell on wheels. Not a fan or reds or yellows, in a rut again

I busted up my left ankle so it made the drive to work "interesting" for a couple of weeks. Couldn't drive for a week, but managed to do it while on crutches for 2 weeks after that... Stop and go traffic thru Providence, RI is a bitch with a messed up clutch foot...
Except for that I don't reget it...
