which would you buy??

GF soon to be fiance and I are going truck shopping this weekend. she has an 04 H2 and wants something different. its between the Range Rover(supercharged model) or Porsche Cayenne Turbo. heard poor ratings for the cayenne, although i like it better, she likes the range rover better. guess its ultimalely up to her since she will be the one driving it
anyone know anything about the range rovers as far as the reliability??

what would you go for?

I say Cayenne, I have seen many Range Rovers on the street and barely any Cayenne.

Your avatar is funny as hell by the way.

if its that new Range Rover... definitely that one!!! looks hot as hell....

http://www.thenewrush.com

390hp - but that is still a lot - Cayenne is faster, but much uglier.

hate the steering wheel but you won't see me complaining if I was behind the wheel....

Imagine how that would be?

I'd go for the Range Rover. THe Cayanne is , and the steering wheel is an abomination from hell

Steering wheel in the cayenne looks uglier in picture and is easier to deal with in person...like a i said the tiptronic is nice.

Range rover with S/C might be cool in that copper color.

Huh?

Go with the Range. Porsche is too funny looking to me. Plus that steeing wheel doesn't look too fun to use.

No that I totally de-railed your thread ( ), do you mind telling me where you store your cars? Is it a personal wharehouse, or some sort of storage place? I may want to store my car while I'm away at school, since I don't like the idea of leaving it outside while I'm gone.

Oh, and that NSX is hot You should bring it to some meets.

they are stored at a public storage place, thats climate controlled. they usually range from 100 to 130 dollars a month(depends on sise and if its climate controlled...) ours are actually pretty big, i have the bike in front of one car, and a big couch in front of another. definately better than leaving it outside, its out of the elements, its secure, when you go to pick it up its clean
just grab the yellow pages, there are dozens of them around.

i was going to bring it to the ross dock meet, but i never made it there. i'll see if i can get some pics of the other one later.

i, along with my partner, run a landscaping company.

the garages are all single car, just very deep(about 15-16 ft).

insurance is a killer, but worth it. most are under her name(only the three that i posted were mine are insured by me)
and still her insurance on hers is half of what mine is
damn women

Range rover? haha
have you ever tried talking to some people that have owned one? I was looking at buying one once and after i talked with the salesperson, i walked into their service dept to talk with some customers that were waiting for their cars. They said that their cars are in there all the time.

Try talking with some people that are waiting for their cars at the dealership service dept. They will clue you in on the true ownership experience.

i dont want either to tell you the truth, it's kind of like the lesser of two evils for me, she will be driving it. i'm not a suv guy myself. if it doesnt have a clutch, it doesn't really interest me(except if we get the F430-i can deal with the paddle shifters if she doesnt want stick)

any business is lucrative depending what you put in to it. i work 60-70 hours a week and we dont do that lawn cutting BS,

right now we're working on a patio for an ex philadelphia flyer-thats where the money is

I test drove both...Cayenne is more sporty (hence its a porsche), but the Range looks better and...I was looking into purchasing a Range...Id go for that one.

yeah i figured the range rover wouldnt be as sporty, being that it doesn't come from a sport car background. i'm starting to lean more towards the range rover cause the porsche looke like a 911 with a lift kit.

i dont drive the cars too often since i work alot and my hockey equipment and fishing poles wont fit in it!! i live 2 minutes from possumtown road, off lincoln blvd. i'm usually free on the weekends, except this one coming up, maybe we'll set something up after that, maybe another NJ CL meet.

yeah thats the "street" term for it around these parts. the waste management thing is sooo 90's...

everything i do is legit-honestly. i dont believe in being "crooked" not worth it in my opinion.

it is a pain in the ass getting pulled over all the time and being told that mommy and daddy bought it for me...or being asked what i sell or what im pushing...
