the subaru's have grown on me a bit so haven't the audi's front grille, but the new jetta's i still can't get over and the 3 and 5 seriouse, they just look like they have no balls to them.

 

i dunno, i didn't really like the late 80's CL...the one with the flip up headlights. at least it was rwd...i don't know why they didn't keep that.

 

Worst redesign, current 4 door accord hand down, the look of the car was enough to NOT make me buy, all my other friends ddin't buy it or even consider it just for that reason. the coupe is ugly too, unless you add a spoiler to it, then it is bearable. I see so few of them on the road.

Next, the maxima, look like an egg.

Eclipse, even since 2001 it was ugly to me, won't even go near it.

The next lexus GS I am not feeling either. Those back light are ugly.

 

Other than Porsches, are there any German cars that had a decent redesign?

 

All the new Audis are HOT. they turned me from a hater to huge fan.

 

I think the new redesigned S550 looks much nicer then the older S-class after seeing them parked by each other. Only thing that I didn't like was the "shark fin" antenna right dead smack in the middle of the trunk lid of the S550. It really looks out of place.

 

Eclipse redesign? the new r32 i think that is coming out looked pretty awful to me..
the new STI is growing on me...

 

It's seem like more cars today need time to grow on you, but love eventually comes

 

i take offense to that...why does everyone rag on it? it has great V6 power, a great sounding engine/exhaust...just because it's not rwd/awd or a turbo 4 banger?

i miss the old body style clk and e class, i dont like either of the newer models.

 

BMW's recent redesign of its 7-series has kinda gotten good reviews.

By the way, I happen to think the new Audis are fantastic. I found the older models to be somewhat boring, and these newer models seem to look more aggressive. I could understand how some people wouldn't like the taillights extending to the trunk - that's an awkward design.

I honestly think the redesign of the Dodge Ram was completely unnecessary, especially since it's now pretty much indistinguishable from a Dakota.

The last gen eclipse (while I never had a problem with its looks) was a big bloated pig of a "sports car."

Its a far cry from what the wildy popular 2nd was...a small compact, light vehicle that was highly modable, and very able in the tight tight twistes.

 

Boohoo. You are probably the only member here like the Eclipse. Why not join some Mitsubishi forums instead of Honda/Acura ones?

 

There's just no way I'm gonna take all of that 3rd-gen Eclipse hype from someone in Columbus.

I'd rather look at, and drive, a Camry.

 

ive only seen 1 nice looking 3rd gen eclipse and that was at a body shop getting some sick ass body kit (not ugly like the one above) put on it. and it was a spyder.

actually, i had an h22 1990 accord, and a 1998 2.3CL....so i think i can be here.

you guys are entitled to your opinion....but all i was doing was asking why the hatred, and instead i got a bunch of immature "omg eclipse sux lol michigan rulez lmao" posts.

the only civil person to reply to my question is sarlacc...and he's right, the car is too fucking heavy. by the way, i didn't mean that i took offense to it...that was the wrong choice of words. sorry.

 

SC430. I loved the 1st generation SC300/SC400s, but the redesigned SC looks like a bubble.

when you guys said the current Accord sedan, do you mean the 03-05 with really ugly rear end or the current revised one with the led taillights? yes, the current Accord sedan just looks bloated, why are headlights like that?

i really hope the people involved in the redesigned 7th gen Accord got fired or something, they stink. i still like the design of the 98-02 6th gen Accord sedan and coupe.

i think the led taillights are cool though on the current Accord sedan, but they kinda copied Infiniti with that. also, on the Accord coupe the tailights are better, but Honda copied Mercedes with that.

Maybe, that's if you get all the options. Would never pay for a maxima for that price. Maxima's can be bought at 26k, brand new.

with the maxima, you can get way more options than TL that comes standard such as power adjusting steering, sideview mirror, rear sunshade. In my opinion the Nissan navigation also is cooler than honda's since the use computerized 3d birdeye view.
Also maxima competes on the same level as the Avalon.

Its not worth 39k I admit, but feature by feature, power by power, size by size. Maxima is above the TL. What else vehicle you can get a 4 seater that's below $50k, as far as I'm concerned only the CLS, A8L W12 offers 4 seaters

The TL interior is way better than the Max interior and if I remember correctly the Max is rated at 265hp while the TL is 270 and I'm sure the Maxima weighs more.

 

Compare 2006, TL is 258 and Mamixa is still 265. Also Maxima has more torque than the TL and also faster 0-60mph times.

 

TL is using the latest SAE standards though, I don't think Nissan or Infiniti has switched over to them yet. Generally most of the cars were rated lower with the new standard.

 

C&D tested the 05 TL in the October 2005 issue, 5.9s for 0-60. Tied with G35 sedan.
