Wiper Blades

What's your favorite, and why?

I have Bosch ICON, Anco Contour, Trico Exactfit and Bosch Microedge locally. ICONs are buy one get one free right now at AutoZone.

I need something that will last a long time. No snow where I live, fwiw.

TIA.

How long do they last you, Jesal?

They are buy one get one free at Autozone right now so it's tempting.

Trico Exactfit because they are much like the stock blades, inserts are cheap and generally easy to find.

However, you should count on replacing wiper blade inserts at least once a year, although mine generally go 18+ months, as the inserts are exposed to the sun and the elements.

Well, I haven't replaced the wiper blades in almost five years, and the last time I think I used Trico Exactfits.

They still work okay, believe it or not.

Just cause they still work, doesn't mean they are good. Like Will said, at least change them once a year, its not that expensive to change, unless your a tight ass with your money.

Rain X Latitudes are my choice. Even wipe, no streaking.

I've had the PIAA super silicone. Worked well under heavy rainfall, but not so well to remove the morning mist. But were super quiet, and lasted me through a few So. Cal summers. I only tried them cause i found a set on ebay for cheap.

I recently bought a set of Silblade silicone wipers. I think they got pretty good reviews, and have a 5 year warranty, although I don't know what that covers, and I don't really plan on keeping track and it wasn't a crucial point for my purchase. I've yet to try them though. They are resonably priced through amazon, so I thought I'd give them a shot. The constant rain, and strong sun of Hawaii seems to eat up wipers pretty fast.

I use Trico Exactfits on the TSX, and replace them at least once a year, if not more frequently. As soon as they show any sign of degradation, they get replaced.

I have some kind of fancy silicone blade on the 968, which I don't like because they skip and chatter in light water conditions.

I just put Bosch Icons on my ride about 3-4 months ago. LOVE EM. I've had Michelins, Tricos and about all of em.
Michelins were breaking apart, Tricos wouldn't "clean" the windshield. I'll def. go back with Icons again.

Exactly.

Best wiper blade I've found so far. I put them on at the beginning of last year and they still clean and wipe as good as the day I put them on.

Cheapest thing I can find at walmart
normally no more than 2.50 a piece. The cheap ones wipe away the water just as good as the expensive ones when they are new. I replace them about every 6 months.
