I concur. I would rather get a wagon then a SUV. How about something like an S6 avant?

I'd rock the S6 Avant but this car looks like it was impeccably maintained and it has all the features I'd want. Maybe sell my Wrangler/CL-S and just get one practical vehicle instead. I'm just throwin' this out there as a feeler on the wagon thing. I'm always hauling ski equipment, golf clubs, my large dog, court exhibits, multiple brief cases, etc. In fact it'd be haulin' everything BUT kids (as everyone would presume it was probably used for). I like the wagon, who knows, maybe I'll pull the trigger.

I love how German wagon's look; if you put some nice wheels and lower it, that looks very sleek and vip'ish

I'm not a fan of the looks... but I'm sure it is a great car. While it is perhaps a step down in the luxury factor, I'd personally prefer an Audi Avant or a Volvo Cross Country.

Audi Allroad or Volvo Xcountry and still do some light/medium offroading.

Audi Avant wagons are tits. The new A6 avant is stellar, though I know you dont want new cars.

This is a really classy wagon! I have been wondering about getting a certified E-class or 530 xit too. They are totally beautiful, more comfortable and more practical than an SUV. And this one is a great deal too!

Get it without a doubt. But, MB's are heavy. Thats my only problem with it. For the dog reference, my mom swapped back and forth between a C and an E when she was looking. She liked how nimble the C compared to the E-she ultimately went with the C and is kicking herself because the Dalmation barely fits in the cargo area. She has a c320 4 matic and its a beast in the snow and quite quick on the highway. I love it-wagons are so functional. Ive been hunting autotrader and ebay for an s4 wagon with low miles-my mom converted me

I figure a V8 w/ 302 horsepower is enough for what I'll be using it for. If I wanna blast around town/country, I'll get out my Roadster. I have no doubts this car is quick enough for me.

So is it a 2004 or 2005? Title says 2004, headline under the pic of the dealership says 2005

I never noticed that. I just thought all along it was an 04. Methinks someone screwed up.

^ I guess you could just decode the VIN they supply. I haven't done that, but whoever buys it may want to

Careful with that car...resale value is HORRIBLE....and for the record, wholesale value:

..:: DESCRIPTION
Engine Type: V8
Body Style: WAGON
Vincode:

Standard Features: 17" WHEELS STD
4 ZONE AUTOMATIC AC STD
ABS STD
ALL WHEEL DRIVE STD
AUTOMATIC SLIP CONTROL STD
DUAL FRONT AIR BAGS STD
DUAL POWER SEATS STD
ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM STD
FRONT SIDE AIR BAGS STD
LEATHER STD
POWER WINDOWS STD
TRACTION CONTROL STD

Base Price: @ 29,000 miles 32,800
Mileage: 25,000

..:: ADDS & DEDUCTS

ADD: COMAND (INCL'S NAVIGATION) + 1,000
ADD: HEATED SEATS + 400
As Equipped Price 34,200
Mileage Adjustment 650

GALVES VALUE 34,850

Because of the poor selling performance of these cars, it's probably worth about that much retail, and wholesale a little less.

Yeah, I think this price is high which is why I'm waiting for it to not be sold, then re-listed. I KBB'd it and came up w/ 38,500 (dealer price) which I still think is too high. I'd offer 35K, if they bite they bite. Still up for debate though as I'm building a barn to store my cars, mower, crap, A/V room, exercise room. Like this http://www.jedbuildings.com/images/g.../gallery7.html but w/ two overhead electric doors and a pass-door in the front of the shed and not 40' deep but 36.

Well, the bidding ended, the car got re-listed, I waffled a bit and now . . . . it's gone. Oh well, there'll be others. This one did have all the equipment I wanted though.
