Wife's Accord needed a Hyundai...

So I just picked up a brand new 2011 Sonata Limited with the Nav/rear view camera package. It's fully loaded. White Pearl on black interior.

I can't take pictures right now because it's dark outside, but it basically looks like this --

I so wanted to make it look like this but she said absolutely no touching her car. Bah.

She's working late today, so she'll be happy when she comes home and sees the Sonata in the driveway. It's not a total surprise because we've talked about it but she'll still be ecstatic.

P.S. Isn't it time to change the forum name to Hyundaizine?

Nice choice of car and colour, congrats. And WOW I didn't know you could make a Sonata look like that. Too bad the wife's against that

Congrats, though

such a damn nice vehicle, it'd be such a winner if made with RWD, practically renders the TL irrelevent.

At the moment, yes. But if things go the way I would like, then I'll make it happen soon.

Production begins this month and delivery should start around November. I drove a near-production ready car this past weekend. It was quick. I was impressed.

I don't get a discount on the Optima. I do like the new Optima but the wife likes the Sonata so it's all good. There is no way she needs a turbo. If it were for me, I would've definitely waited. But there is no financial sense in paying extra for the turbo when it's never gonna get spooled with the way she drives.

Will do! I'm glad you like our product.

She doesn't need it. But I could get a 3.8 Track Genesis Coupe and turbo it. Would that make you happy? I know that would make ME happy.

congrats-while having our 05 elantra GT serviced on 7/26, we looked at the new cars the dealer has. We noticed they had a 6MT venetian red sonata. We ended up trading our elantra with 100K+problem free miles for it. Great cars-Wished they offered more options with MT (sunroof, power seats, etc)

Care to elaborate? Is this something coming? Or, is this something only you could do because you work for Hyundai?

I love the red on this car. If it were mine, I would've gotten a Venetian Red Turbo.

I'm still not certain that I would get one for the same money (same options) as the equivalent Accord but I like it nonetheless. Then again if Hyundai sources the Gen coupe powertrains for the Sonata consumption, I wouldn't even consider an Accord (save for the V6 6MT).
