Have you see top gear do their bit with the hilux. That is one indestructible truck. Although modified, its been to the north pole, and a volcano! And apparently used in wars lol.

Yeah, not surprising. Typical Toyota trucks from the 80s onwards are known to run forever. I personally like the Hilux looks better than the Tacoma but I'd still love to have a new Taco, always wanted one.

It's funny how they associate the Canada flag with quality. I don't know much about Canadian products but that's like people in the US associating Made in China as being shit, in USA as better (except when it comes to cars) and Japan > *

Yeah, these things are great. Remember the Polar Special on TG? That Hilux was the hotness!

I also saw the TG episode that the article mentioned. That was incredible. They still have that truck in the studio.

Agreed. When I saw the polar version, I was drooling!

I love Toyota trucks. I really like the looks of the older Taco from the late 90's.

We've had several Toyota Pickups in the family including 4G 4x4 SR5 Hilux w/ locking hubs (360k miles before it was stolen chopped for parts and found during a murder investigation, no major repairs), T100 (160k miles and running strong), Tundra (70k miles and running strong). Great trucks.. I find it amusing that a bunch of clone hilux's were introduced much like clone AK47's
