Remember, those forums were added after IB bought in to the site. No doubt in my mind it was some kind of corporate/marketing thing to generate marginal add'l traffic.

Prior to that, the word on an RSX sub-forum was something like, "We're not interested in moderating a bunch of screaming teenagers". And for the MDX, somthing like, "Such and such MDX forum already does a fine job."

I didn't even realize it was there until I read your post. It was kinda like seeing Jesus standing in the corner drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon, I couldn't believe my eyes.

This site was started as 260hp.com and evolved into what you see today. Since it was started by a group of 2nd Generation (2001) CL/TL owners, the focus has always been on acuras from that timeframe moving forward...

Sorry, but acurazine isn't backwards compatible

I've never heard a more arbirtary explanation of anything.

I have a better idea. I think that once a generation's average used retail value drops below $20,000 they should close that forum so that Acurazine will be made up of snobby elite class of people who can afford nice, new Acuras.

There's your answer... why re-invent the wheel? Typically if there is a large successful forum out there, the Admins here won't bother adding it. I was actually very surprised they added an RSX section, but look how long that took.

However, you never know... IB may decide to add it down the road, but for now IB is sticking with the sites that were privately owned before, then merged into Acurazine (which was still privately owned until IB bought them not too long ago).... and those are the forums we currently have.
