Point is this: The lights are either the same or different. And like I said-- they're different.

The headlights are different and so are the grilles. Coupe headlights have a clearance strip while the sedan doesn't. The grille's are different as well. The coupes bows more at the bottom and top while the sedan's is, when seen directly straight at it, more horizontal and flat (no bowing).

my payments on 01 cls are half of my friends who got g35
obviously the g35 beats a cls in any category...but its kinda nice having that extra $350 or so in my pocket each month.

hard to compare payments on cars...
I'd bet the G35 will hold the $350 more a month when he gets rid of it. I'm sure it'll be worth $7000 more than a CLS of equal (close) years.
The argument I held when people were justifying the CLS vs. BMW price. But in the long run, the BMW is worth more... so the extra you spend you get back later.
Trade in on a 01 330Ci is near $22k, where we'd be lucky to get $14k for a 01 CLS.
